Sunshine & Flowers-SFYTT

I had a chance last night to color in this adorable Tilda who is from the Spring Magnolia Kit. I've had it for over a week but didn't have any EZ Mount...so now that I have some, I'm back in business and have everything mounted!! These stamps are so cute, each and every one in the whole kit is adorable!!

I put everything together this morning using Jen's SFYTT from Saturday and my new papers!! I bought this great stack of My Mind's Eye paper from Michaels. The majority of them have glitter on them and then there are some at the back (the orange one) that coordinate but without glitter. The stack is called Playful Posies. I love these colors together.

I used some of my fun new charms, spacers, etc with my Primas and am really loving how it turned out.

Off I go to get some housework done...and hopefully more stamping!

Wishing you a wonderful day and thank you for visiting!

My Little Flower Girl

We had such a fun night on Thursday with my Mom and my sister Kristy. Kirsten loved trying on dresses and had a great girls night!! We went to 2 different places as we already kind of knew which one was Kirsten's favorite just by looking online at a few different styles. Every dress she tried on the first thing she did was come out in front of the big mirrors and twirl, it's all about the twirl effect when you're 6!! So besides the fact this one was her favorite before we even tried it on, it was a good twirler too, so we ordered it and should have it in about 3 months.

Here is a pict (it's not Kirsten, but taken from the Alfred Angelo website;-))and it is showing in Ivory (which is the color we ordered it in, Kristy's wedding dress is ivory too), but something is wonky when you change the colors on the site, because the actual fabric swatch looks so much nicer IRL than this does on here, but anyway, this is the one she chose and she looks so pretty in it.

At each point where it gathers is a little rhinestone cluster as well as in the center of the faux belt...it sparkles very nicely and she definitely loves that part too. It is a beautiful satin fabric and is really nice. Kristy's happy, Kirsten's happy, so it all works for me!!

We had a great lazy day today and a wonderful prime rib supper tonight!! Finally have he kiddos in bed and I am going to try and get caught up on some blog hopping and get some cards started at least!!

Have a great week!!

Thinking of You & Smiling-MOJO 79-Jen's Alzheimer's Card

I'm sure you've already saw this, but over at Jen Tapler Designs, she is having a fantastic blog candy. All you have to do is make a new card and send it to her so that she can later raffle them off to make money and donate to the Alzheimer's Association, a really great idea and I wanted to help out a wee bit!! Hop on over and have a peek to read more about it and get your entry in. I am brand new to Jen's blog and her work is wonderful!

Here's the card I made and I will be popping it in the mail on Monday. I used Julee's Mojo Monday Sketch #79 for my layout. Instead of putting the ribbon on top like the sketch, I put it under my image and then added the bow.

I was at Micheals the other day and found this lovely Choloe's Closet paper and had to have it!! I also used one of my very cute Miss Anya's and a new EK Success punch. I was looking for some new MS punches, but Micheals didn't have any that I liked other than the picket fence one and I did get that, but they had a ton of new EK Success punches so I got this one and another fun one. These ones are so easy to use compared to the MS ones, they punch like a dream. I will definitely be going back with the ole coupon to get some more...next time I'm in Calgary that is!!

The ribbon and sentiment are both from CTMH.

Off I run, it's late and I am tired!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous Sunday! I'll be back tomorrow with the pict of the flower girl dress we ordered!!

Happy Easter-SSSC10 & ASFOS #44

Ya, I finished a card and it works for 2 challenges. Over at A Spoon Full of Sugar, the challenge this week is to make an Easter card, so it works for that, plus I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #10 for the layout!!

I used a cute bunny from High Hopes (the sentiment is from HH as well)and some left over Imaginisce-For Peep's Sake paper, love that stuff!

Really short and sweet today, I need to jump in the shower and get ready to head over to Okotoks to my parents. Later this afternoon we'll head into the city to do some shopping. I am hoping to get to a Michaels and check out what`s new...I never go so there should be some fun goodies. I am also in desperate need of some EZ Mount to get my Magnolia Spring Kit mounted so hopefully my LSS will have some in stock...crossing my fingers!

Hope you have a wonderful day and thank you for taking the time to visit:-)

Let Your Light Shine-SC220

Well I am a week late on this as I should be getting the email notice anytime that the new sketch has been posted over at SCS, but I liked this one so I wanted to finish it up anyway. I used my new My Mind's Eye Bloom & Grow paper and I love it. This is one of the new High Hopes images, Jenny's Glow Bugs as well as the sentiment and I love them too. Jenny is so cute!

I colored everything in with my Copics, added liquid glass to the jar, used my Build-A-Brads for the flower center and the two up at the top and used SU Pastels to sponge in the sky and ground. Both flowers are Primas and the brad centers are just from coordinating Bloom & Grow papers. I really love the colors in the Bloom & Grow papers, love those and think I will definitely be needing more...

Off I scoot to bed. Kirsten has school tomorrow and then is off Friday so we are going to my parents for a visit and to look at flower girl dresses for Kirsten. Both her an Landon will be in my sister's wedding in August, so we are going to try and find her a flower girl dress. She has picked out tons online and is so excited to go, so it should be a great time...just the girls, my sister Kristy, my Mom, Kirsten and myself! Landon is going to hang out with my Dad and go in the hot tub, so I'm sure they'll have just as much fun!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Tooth Fairy Box-HH #23~Buttons Galore

Yahoo, I've finally finished Kirsten's tooth fairy box. I used one of Lauren's Timeless templates from Papertrey Ink. I bought a few of them because they are so fabulous and beyond versatile. I wish I had an ounce of that girl's talent. For this box, I used the Captured Card Case template for this box and think it'll work perfect. Maybe a tad big for a little tooth, but it fits the image I wanted:-)

Speaking of image, this fabulous tooth fairy is from High Hopes Stamps and I just love it. The teeth, toothbrush and tooth floss are from High Hopes as well. This week's challenge over on the High Hopes Stamps Blog is buttons galore, so I have used a bunch (well only 6) co-ordinating buttons from My Mind's Eye to go along with the paper from CTMH. I covered her wings and wand with diamond stickles and put a rhinestone in the middle of the wand. I covered the teeth with crystal Scribbles which is actually kinda fun, it's like liquid glass or crystal effects but with some sparkle to it, so it's 3-D. The tooth floss(I cut off the string that is a part of the image and added some floss instead, the teeth and the toothbrush are all popped up on dimensionals.

Here is a side view to show the box a bit better...

Kirsten is pretty excited about it, she loves it. Her one bottom tooth is super wiggly and it's funny to watch her eat because you can tell it bothers her. I told her I would pull it out for her :-) but she doesn't like that idea too much!

The skating carnival went well yesterday. Landon was so tired, he could hardly stay awake for his turn, but they had fun! We are having my FIL, Larkin down for supper tonight, so I should mosey and get some things done around the house:-)

Happy Mother's Day to all of my UK friends:-)

NSR...but look at what I got...

Totally not stamping related, but I'm still excited...I love my new Le Creuset Caribbean Blue Dutch Oven my wonderful hubby brought home yesterday!

Ok, so it may be dorky to be so excited about cookware, but I've wanted one for a long time and now I finally have one. Probably the only one I'll ever own though, man they are expensive! I know we'll use it a ton though.

I am working on a project for Kirsten...things are just taking a little longer this week for some reason, I can't seem to get everything done around the house and keep up this week so that I can have some time to color, but I am working on it! Her bottom 2 teeth are very wiggly, so I am making her a little box to hold her teeth for the tooth fairy. Hopefully I'll be back at some point this weekend with that project finished. They both have their skating carnival tomorrow and I am helper Mom for Kirsten's group, so we will be busy with that, but I am so excited for skating to be done for the year!! I am hoping my sister Kim will take lots of picts because I won't get tot see it all and because Kirsten and Landon are in different groups, I may not get to see him either!!

I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!

Cupcakes Make Everything Better~AMYRS1

I have really been enjoying Amy R's sketches and have had a chance to participate in a few as of lately. Anyway, she celebrated her first complete year of having the sketch challenge on Fridays and as this one is the anniversary sketch, I wanted to play along. It is actually the very first sketch she used, kinda fun!

I used my new Verve Cupcakes stamps for this one and my favorite CTMH paper which is from the Key To My Heart promo. I really love these colors. I ordered some Scribbles Glittering Crystal 3-D paint with my gift cert I won from Kimmie's blog to Scrappin Great Deals and used that on the flowers on the stamp, but as you can see it changed the Tulip ink it was stamped in to a weird orangy color..not so happy about that part, next time I will just use stickles instead. I actually thought this Scribbles was going to be a pen, but it is in a bottle similar to stickles just bigger.

I hope you are having a fabulous day, off I go to get some lunch for Landon and I.

Thanks for visiting:-)

Hey There Ethan!

Over on Lauren's My Time blog, she has a fabulous sketch accompanied by a RAK request and I wanted to take part. So this is for Ethan, I hope it brings a smile to his face and I am wishing a miracle for him and his family. Hop on over to Lauren's blog to read more.

I just love the latest release from High Hopes and these are just a few of them, the farm background, the fence (I stamped in the middle and then masked it and stamped either side, I did make a boo boo so don't look too closely;-)) the little farm boy is Bobby Lee, the bale of hay and finally the grass and posies are from an older release but still cute! Bobby Lee is stamped and colored and then cut out and popped up for some dimension. I left out the little tabs at the bottom left because my main image panel is rather large and they didn't fit. The sentiment is popped up on every level...lots of dimension there too..here's a bit of a close up trying to show it.

Well, that's all for me tonight! We all watched Dancing With The Stars tonight and had fun, it was great!! Kirsten loves the pretty dresses and the fun hair dos, but we all really enjoy it..not that Lance would ever admit that though:-)

Wishing you a wonderful day or night depending on where you may be:-) Thanks for visiting!

Raining Love & Birthday Wishes-FS 43

This is the card I made for my sisters birthday...I really hope she doesn't check my blog this morning..I don't think she will, so I should be ok. Anyway, I used yesterday's sketch from Carole over on the Friday Sketcher blog for my layout and the lovely Parisian Breeze paper by SU. I love this paper, the colors and the texture and the weight is just wonderful! The image and sentiment are by Whiff of Joy.

I added liquid glass to the rain drops and used my stardust glitter pen for some shimmer on the bottom flourishes on her pants. Used my Copics to color some Prima hydrangeas to match and added some CTMH chocolate brads. I did finished the inside as well but forgot to take pictures of it.
Just a short and sweet post today and I just got the kiddos out of the tub and need to get them dressed and then need to get myself ready as well!
Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Making Handmade Cards-Roselle Collection

I was so excited when Jo asked if I would like to be a Guest Designer for Claire's great website, Making Handmade Cards.

I am just new to the digital world, so this is definitely out of my comfort zone, but I am pleased with the results. Just choose which sheets you like, print them out and a way you go! Everything is included in the e-kit and along with some very basic supplies you would have on hand, you really can create fabulous handmade cards. I will admit, it was a bit of a challenge to not add more, but there are so many different colors/patterns, etc to choose from. You should go on over and have a peak at all she has to offer, you can even sign up for the free newsletter and get a free download or go shopping in the e-store.

Kirsten got a snow day today..well I guess just a really cold weather day is more like it. It was -31 Celsius this morning when Lance took her to the bus. They sat there for 20 minutes and then found out the buses weren't running due to the cold temperatures, so instead of having to wait for another hour to take her into school he just brought her home so he could then go to work. It is only -11 right now, but at 7:30 this morning I thought-what the heck...she can stay home...so she wanted to eat her lunch out of her lunch kit and have a kind of at school day:-)

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a wonderful evening!

Roses on Paper Challenge #7

I was so excited to see that I had won the second prize on Lim's blog-o-versary draw the other day, thanks so much Lim, I can't wait to get some new goodies:-) It's a $20 gift cert to Roses On Paper which is a company new to me. So I checked out their website, lots of fun goodies, but Summer also has a blog as well as a Roses On Paper Challenge blog. It is a great sketch this week, so I thought I would play along.

I have used some yummy new SU paper called Raspberry Tart, love it, so rich and beautiful, with some funky Kiwi Kiss thrown in with the great pinks, red and coral too fun!! It seemed a little plain so I added the dew drops and flowers and leaves, but I'm not happy with it now either, so not sure...everything is stuck down though, so there is no going back now!!
I really love Miss Anya's from The Greeting Farm, they are fun to color and so pretty! Kirsten loves them too!
We had a crazy busy day today, so I haven;t got much of anything done...better scoot to get a go on supper!!
Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have a great night!

P.S. Anybody watching Dancing With The Stars??? If so let me know you're fav!

Hey There Cupcake~AMYRS61

Hello, hello! Wow, I've been here there and every where! Our weather is absolutely terrible here today. Lance is out plowing out the driveway right now so we can get out tomorrow, but it's still blowing! It snowed and blowed all night last night, The drifts behind our house are taller than the trampoline and the whole trampoline is snowed in!! Spring can definitely come any day now:-)

I had a chance to whip together this card for AmyRS61 sketch from Friday. I really love this paper from CTMH and wish it was in the regular catty, but it was just a promo, so I like to hoard it:-)I stamped the cupcake on SU shimmery white cs and then cut it out and popped it up with dimensionals on CTMH Colonial White. I also stamped the sentiment on shimmery white and punched it with my SU scallop punch and then stippled it with some creme brulee ink because the white of the shimmery white is so much whiter than the CTMH colonial white, which is actually more ivory, so now it blends better. I then added some wee CTMH rhinestones under the sentiment and to the cupcake bottom.

That's all I have for today, still trying to get unburied from my never ending laundry pile and I have been working on some samples for my sister Kristy for her wedding invites.

1st Blog-o-versary!!

Yay!! One year ago today I decided to join the blogging world!! I have met so many wonderful people and great new friends. I love sharing my creations with everyone andhte inspiration that is out in blogland. You can definitely see how much you grow as a crafter and I'm excited t see what the next year has in store for me:-)

I will have some blog candy up for grabs here soon, but for right now we are still over at my parents (with painfully slow dial up) as there is a blizzard goin' on and I am staying off the roads for now. Kirsten doesn't have school tomorrow anyway, so we may just stay then night again tonight! I talked to Lance a bit earlier and he said it was still white out conditions at home. It is blowing and snowing here right now but not as bad as over by our place, so it's better to be safe and sound inside at my parents then out on the highways!!

Thank you to all of my readers, followers and lurkers, it is so nice to read your wonderful comments, they truly make me smile! Trust me, I won't bite, leave me a comment so I can come and visit you too!!

Have a fabulous day and I certainly hope your weather is much better than ours:-)

Hello~ Mojo 76 & HH 20

I made this card this morning for 2 challenges this week. I would love to be able to have enough time to be abel to make one card per challenge, but unfortunately my days only have 24 hours in them and not 72 like I would need! This card will work for 2 fun challenges this week though. First, High Hopes Challenge #20 is "That Fuzzy Feeling" and I used both liquid applique and fun flock on the bunny's tail, under her ears and her chest.

Here's a close up of the fuzziness...

The second challenge it works for is this week's Mojo Monday Sketch #76 ...and...since it's the first challenge of the month, there's a stamp set up for grabs too!!

We are headed over to my parents today when I pick Kirsten up from school. The kids and I have dentist appointments tomorrow morning so we will get a visit before hand too. My sisters will come out for supper as well, so it'll be great!

Thanks for stopping by today and I'll be back on Friday!

Happy Birthday Miss Anya~Friday Sketchers #41

I'm so excited, I finally have my Miss Anya's!! They are so cute!! I still had this paper out from the other day, so I went with that and used Friday Sketchers Challenge #41 for my layout. At Christmas time we had a secret sister swap within our SB 15 group and I was lucky enough to receive a gift certificate to River City Rubber Works. The happy birthday background stamp is from there and I love it. These girls are so sweet!! I have a couple more already colored, but will make them into cards later this week. Kirsten and Landon are invited to a birthday party tomorrow afternoon, they are excited to go and have fun. Poor Landon is only 3 and at this age they don't have any concept of time, so whenever anyone has a birthday, he thinks his is the same day...poor little guy, it'll be a long wait until November!!

Thanks for stopping by, have a fabulous Tuesday!!
~Kelly
