DDCC #59-Wedding Wishes

There is a wonderful sketch by Wilma over on the Dutch Dare Challenge blog and you should really check it out. Besides the fact the sketch is super fun, great DT samples, you have a chance to win a super cute Bell n Whistles stamp courtesy of Jacqueline just for playing along!

Here is the card I made with the sketch. I 'm not too happy with it, it just seems kind of flat and has no life... I think I needed some patterned paper on here somewhere instead, but I went with solid colors for my sister as these are her wedding colors...I did cut out the cake and pop it up..although I didn't do the middle or the very bottom as I didn't want to make a mess and have to re-do everything!


I used a super cute image that I downloaded from the Doodle Palace (they have a 60% off sale right now) and colored it in a bit, added the pearls and covered the flowers with my stardust glitter pen, I also outlined the cake and swirls with it too, it is much more sparkly IRL.

We are off to have a swim in the brand new outdoor pool in Bassano, the kids are so excited! They are just running on excitement lately...swimming today it the new pool in town, then off to my sisters wedding where they are flower girl and ring bearer, then home for first day of school!

Birthday Wishes

August is full of birthdays with us and here's a card I made for one of them.

I used one of the very cute Bildmalarna stamps I got from Bunny Zoe's fabulous online store. It is Mimosa with Flowers and she's adorable! There are a ton of new images as well as the oh so very cute Bells & Whisltes line. Have a peek.


I used one of the Mojo anniversary sketches, MojoJanette for my layout and some fun MME papers, of course Mimosa and my Spica pens for some glitter...although it doesn't show up very well in this pict. Teh sentiment is from Aud Designs.

Off I run, only a couple more loads of laundry and I should be ready to hit the road again! This time we are going to the Fairmont Hot Spring Resort for my sisters wedding.

Yay, I'm Copic Certified!!

Oh man we had a super busy week at my parents last week with both kids in swimming every morning in town. They both passed the levels they were in and excited for the next set already!

On Saturday I was lucky enough to attend the Copic Certification class in Calgary taught by the very talented Sherrie Siemens.


It was a great class, learned some fun techniques and gfot o play with the airbrushing system which is fabulous!

Off I go to get some T cards done!!

On the Road Again.....

We are off and running again this week. This time we are gone to my parents as the kids are in swimming lessons all week and I am going to a Copic Certification class in Calgary on Saturday. My sister's stagette is Friday as well, so it'll be a busy week for sure!

Once school starts again, I'll be back in the groove, but until then I appreciate the kind comments and all of you that pop by!

Christmas in August-DDCC #58 & ASFOS

I know I'm a day late for this but better late than never I guess right! Over at the fabulous Dutch Dare Card Challenge blog we have a new challenge for you and that is Christmas in August. I used the wonderful sketch from Camilla over at A Spoon Full of Sugar for my card. These sweet bear is one of the Forever Friends images I won from my blogging buddy Tammi...they are so cute, love 'em! The papers is some super shimmery Reminisce paper I picked up from my LSS a couple weeks ago.

That's all for me for tonight, still up to my eyeballs in laundry but slowly making my way through it! We are off to my parents for a week on Sunday as Kirsten & Landon are in swimming lessons over there and we have a bunch of fun things going on, so that will be great.

Oh my gosh, well, we are home from our trip to Sandpoint, which was another fabulous holiday. While we are home, I don't have anything crafty to share with you, but I do have a fabulous blog candy offering out there that you really need to go and checkout!
