Thanks a Bunch!

Finally I can share with you my very first custom made project. I was so excited when Kirsten's dance teacher (she isn't in dance anymore, but was for 2 years) Barb saw my projects on my Facebook page (that I post from Networked Blogs) and asked me to make a card for the lovely gal (also, my good friend Nikki!) that looks after her son while she is teaching dance.

So here is the Thanks You card I made as part of this project. I also made a gift certificate and printed and laminated a picture of her little guy with a magnet back for Nikki to put on her fridge and then just added some bananas to the envelope to make it all coordinate. The card is from Bryce so that's why I went with this theme instead of something girly and flowery, and I think it works perfectly!

The image is from High Hopes as are the bananas and then I just typed the sentiment and printed it out. All paper is from CTMH Animal Crackers and images were colored with Copics.

Oh yes, Rascal Flatts and Darius Rucker was Tuesday night and was it awesome!!!  Here's a couple picts my sister took...

Sunny Flowers

Well here I am with another creation using this month's kit from Monthly Card Kit Club. Now these aren't my usual colors and while they did throw me for a bit of a loop, I am happy with the result and know that my Grandma will love it! I have some picts from my sisters wedding that I have been meaning to send here and I think I'll do just that.

The pattern paper, flower center and the pin are all from the October Kit. The flower top and leaves are from Delightful Things and the stem is from Treasures, both CTMH sets. I added sunflower Shimmerz to the entire flower for some shimmer and it's really pretty IRL but s hard to capture in a photo!

I am off to Rascal Flatts Tuesday night and am pretty excited to see them and Darius Rucker as well. It'll be a great night I'm sure, late though and I'm parent helper for Landon's Halloween party on Wed!! Oh well, it'll be just fine!

Thanks for being here!

Birthday Boy-Unscripted Sketch#27

Well I still don't have confirmation that my recipient of the custom made project has received it, so I am going to go ahead and share a card I made for the birthday party Kirsten was at yesterday.

October24_2009_unscripted#27

I used all SU paper, the cute dino guy is from High Hopes and buttons are from CTMH. I also used some Twinkling H2O's, love those!

I did find another new to me sketch blog...Unscripted Sketchesand used the sketch #27 which was from last week, but I liked the payout and thought it worked well for my image. I did add the sentiment to the front as well.

That's all for me for today, thank you for stopping by! We are having a relaxing Sunday and I hope you are too!

HappyHolidays~DDCC#63

The fabulous image is from Mo Manning, love this artist, her images are so fun!  All papers are from CTMH.  I ran the Outdoor Denim photo corner and the Twilight piece through my CB.  I also added some Shimmerz to the "snow" on the snowman and to the Spellbinder snowflakes as well, I kNow it's hard to see in the pict, but I promise, it's there!

Made With Love Tilda-MCKC#2

Wow a week sure flies by rather quickly! I honestly thought that after the first month and a half of school I would be into a bit of a routine and not feel so rushed all the time. Anyway, today is weaning day today here so Lance and his Dad finished sorting the cows and calves and took them to the auction mart. Well we had a straight liner here to take the majority of them, but they all didn't fit so Lance took a load in our stock trailer. Landon went along and was in his glory!

Anyway, onto my card for today.

This is my second creation with the beautiful Cherry Hill kit from the Monthly Card Kit Club. Although I didn't use the cherry paper that comes in the kit, I went with the apples instead as there was a cute little apple button in my DT package. The fabulous apple paper, the apple button, the red ribbon and the white and red die cuts are all from the kit. My sweet little baking Tilda, apple and the sentiment are all from Magnolia.

Here is sort of a side view shot to show the dimension. I popped up Tilda and the apples and added stickles to the red ribbon around the wooden spoon as well as the middle apple.

These kits are really great for card making, lots of fun embellishments and gorgeous papers. So head on over to learn more.

I am off to a skating meeting tonight...man does life ever slow down....so I should run and get some things done around here!

Thank you for stopping by!

Sweet Kids-CTMH

How cute are these kiddos? I just love this set from CTMH called Childhood Portrait.  The beautiful papers are from the Grace kit from CTMH as well and the rhinestones are Kaiser.

Now, I had some trouble with the embossing and have decided that I don't love heat embossing or any embossing for that matter on CTMH cardstock, but because this matched so much better than the SU brown I have I went with it anyway. I used my embossing buddy to clean off the paper before embossing, but still had some flecks on there and it left the powdery residue. Oh well, it's still so cute and I just love the silhouettes.

Not exactly sure who I'll give this card to so there is no sentiment on it, but I will add something to the inside when it is ready to go onto it's new home.

Back tot he grind it was this morning.  It was so nice to not have to be up at 6:15am but it's a short week now, so that's ok.

Thanks you for stopping by and I hope you have a great Tuesday!

**For You~Friday Sketchers # 73~Monthly Card Kit Club-October**

So far our holiday weekend here in Canada has been wonderful...cold but good! Today my FIL will come on down (he only loves about 3 miles away) for dinner with us tonight and then back to school for Kirsten anyway tomorrow.

Here is my very first creation using the wonderful Monthly Card Kit Club for October called Cherry Hill. Please click here to see the kit in it's entirety and click here for subscription info.

This kit is so very pretty, gorgeous papers and flowers, ribbon and spacers too, really everything to make beautiful cards.  This image is too cute as well, although I don't know the name of it or who makes it, it was part of my DT kit, but it's super sweet!  Almost everything is from the kit (flowers, flower center, ribbons and pp), but I did add some rhinestone gems from CTMH and the cs is from my stash. I also used some Spica glitter pens on the flowers, vines and bird for some shimmer.

I used this weeks sketch from Friday Sketchers for my layout and although I had some trouble with it, I am happy with the outcome.

Off I scoot to get the house tidy and such.  Wishing you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving!

A Card Recipe-DDCC #62

Yet another week flew by and I didn't have a chance to get crafty...but I did today! Here is my card for this week's fabulous challenge over at Dutch Dare. We are giving you a card recipe to use and it is:

2 different cardstock
2 different pattern papers
2 Flowers
2 gemstones/buttons
2 brads

Now you can use more that the above listed items, but these ones have to be on your card somewhere!

So here we have my card.  I used Twilight & Barn Red CTMH cs, 2 different sheets from the Grace Level 1 Paper Pack from CTMH as well, the image is from the new Childhood Portrait set from CTMH and the sentiment is part of the From Me to You set by CTMH as well.  I did use 2 halfback pearls instead of gemstones and then added 2 leaves (CTMH) and 2 sets of 2 flowers (Prima) and then 2 Twilight brads (CTMH) and there we have it!

There is an adorable stamp up for grabs for one lucky participant, so head on over to the Dutch Dare Card Challenge blog and have a look at the other fabulous samples by my fello DT members!.
