My Rider & My Roper!!

We are headed off to our place at Seven Persons, Red Rock Ranch tomorrow morning for a couple days. We will actually be staying at the Lodge in Elkwater (about 40 mins from Seven Persons). Lance is roping Monday night as well as Tuesday morning, and we need to turn one of our bulls out at Red Rock, so we are taking him there tomorrow! Here are some picts of the kiddos over the last couple weeks riding horses and such!

Love is Like A Butterfly-SC182

My day kind of ran away on me for some reason or another today, so sorry for the late post. I finally had a chance to get to the sketch challenge this week over at SCS. I really likes this sketch and will definitely be using it again. I seem to be on a roll with butterflies the last few days:-) I really love this paper too...it's part of the Tudor line from Kaiser Scrapbook. One side is the distressed solid color paper and the flip side is the pattern paper...very fun!! I really love the sentiments in this set I got from Aud Design, they are great! I did make this card for someone specific, but she does read my blog, so I don't want to blurt it out just yet...she'll get it soon though and I hope she likes it.
Lance has the day off tomorrow so I'm not sure if anything is on the go for us. My sister Kim is coming out tomorrow night for a sleepover and then Lance has a rodeo on Saturday in Bassano, so we are going to go to the parade and such Saturday morning. Landon was only 1.5 last year, so he should really enjoy it this year...plus all the candy they get too!!
Also, I'm not sure if I'll be back tomorrow with a card, but I do have some cute pictures of the kiddos from the other night. Lance was roping the dummy (his hay bale set up with steer horns) and Landon really needed to participate, so with his cowboy hat and jammies on, away he went....too cute!!
Hope you have a wonderful evening!
Stamps: Aud Design
Paper: SU River Rock, Whisper White, Kaiser Scrapbook-Tudor Line

Thankful-Buttterflies & Blossoms

Here's another card using the same sketch and stamp set from the other day, just different papers. The leaves that are stamped in SU Wild Wasabi on Whisper White are also from the Butterflies & Blossoms set which is now sold out, but more will be available next week! I forgot to add the antennae back on before I took the pict, but they are back now:-)
I ordered some Twinkling H2Os a while ago from a local company that was blowing them out...I only got 2 sets as the rest had sold out already, so my colors are limited, but my goodness, they add such a pretty shimmer. I'm not sure if you can tell or not if you enlarge the picture, but it really shimmers IRL!
Looks like a beautiful day out today, the kids and I are headed to town to get some groceries and run some errands. I hope you have a beautiful sun-shiny day!!
Stamps: Little Paper Shop
Paper: SU Wild Wasabi, Whisper White, CTMH Star Spangled Blue, Kaiser Scrapbook-Garden Party Line, Canson Montval Watercolor Paper

Butterfllies & Blossoms-Little Paper Shop

I LOVE this set!! tThis is the last but certainly not least Little Paper Shop sneak peak. All 5 stamp sets will be available at Little Paper Shop tomorrow and I will draw for my blog candy as well. Don't forget to get your name in there:-) I made this sample with the Friday's Sketchers Sketch #7! I am really happy with the way it turned out...other than the placement of my knot on my ribbon...but with my new ATG adhesive, once it's stuck, it's not movin' so I didn't really have much choice! I needed some more thank you cards, so I used the thankful sentiment, but there are more great sentiments included as well as more fun images...but I'm not gonna tell you...you'll have to check out the store tomorrow!!

The pp I used is from the same company (Kaiser Scrapbook) that I used on "Swell News" just a different line. I really love the colors in this one too and the line is called "Tudor". I used Picadilly (the red background flowery one) and Hampton (the mat behind the white panel and the backside is the blue funky flowery one) very fun papers!! Colored the butterflies in with my CTMH markers, added some stickles to the blue part of the flower as well as the main body part and voila!! Oh yes...I cut the butterflies out of the watercolor (I used this because it is really heavy weight paper and thought it would make the butterflies more sturdy) and then scored on either side of their body and folded them into the centre to make them pop. I just glued down the main body part and that's all. Here is a look from the side...
Please take a look at the other fab gals on the DT and what they have made with this set. Their blog links are just to the right. Bonnie has some blog candy up for grabs as does Silke, check it out for your chance to win.

Well that's all for me for today, the kids and I are going to my friend Brandi's for a tea and a visit. The kids love playing together, so it's a good play date for them and catch up tea time for Brandi and I. Thank you so much for poppin' in and I hope you have a splendid day!

ETA: Sarah has Butterflies & Blossoms up for grabs in her blog candy today...check it out!

Sweet As Honey~Little Paper Shop

Preview # 4 from Little Paper Shop bring us this cute stamp set called Just Bee-Cause. I made this especially for my sister Kimberley. Kirsten decided a couple years back that she would call her Auntie Bee...not sure where it came from, but instead of Auntie Kim, Auntie Bee or Aunt Bee is what both her and Landon call my sister Kim. So I thought it was a perfect stamp set to use to make her a birthday card. For her birthday she got a bee lantern and 2 sets of copper bee lights for her deck! Perfect gift I think for Auntie Bee!!

I popped the little flying bees up on dimensionals so it looks like they are really flying! Too cute, I really like this set and I am sure it will get a ton of use. I also wanted to show you the card Kirsten made for Auntie Bee as well...She had the card I made sitting beside her and used it for an idea and this is what she came up with...

I am pretty proud of her creation!! I had the black piece already cut and the CTMH Honey piece, had stamped the honeycomb pattern on a different yellow while trying to figure out a pattern I liked, but she did all the rest by herself: cutting, stamping, corner rounding, gluing together!

Check out the DT blogs on the right hand side of my blog and don't forget to enter my blog candy at the top of my blog...you still have a couple days left!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday!

ETA: Check out Silke's amazng blog candy up for grabs!!

Swell News-Little Paper Shop

How cute is this pregnant lady!! Here is the card I made for Swell News by Little Paper Shop. I also used last weeks sketch from Our Creative Corner by Cindy Haffner. I love it!! I used some fun new paper I got at my LSS the other week. It's double sided and is from the Garden Party line by Kaiser Scrapbook from Australia! There is a total of 4 different pattern papers on this card...very busy, but fun and not typical "Swell News" colors, but I still like it.

Be sure to check out all the other DT members creations, the link to their blogs is on the right sidebar. My fantastic SBS sister Sammi enlightened me on how to make my blog candy post stay at the top...and ya know as soon as she started to explain it, the light bulb went off and I knew it:-) You still have until Tuesday to enter as well.

Lance went team roping at a rodeo this morning and left really early, so the kids and I are going to hang out at home together today. Hope you have a fantastic Saturday!

Thanks So Much

I needed a bunch of thank yous for flowers, food and donations that we've received since my MIL passed away. I wanted something that was easy to mass produce, so this is what I came up with. I really love the simplicity of no layers:-) I did add diamond stickles to the centre of the flowers for some sparkle. Iam really pleased with how they turned out.
Today is my Mom's birthday...HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM, we love you!! The kids and I are just headed out the door for a visit with her and my Dad. My sisters Kim and Kristy and Kristy's boyfriend Jason will be over for supper too, so I'm sure we'll have a great night. Dad has a fun project planned for hi and Kirsten, so hopefully I can get some picts and show you later on!!!
Stay tuned for some sneak peaks tomorrow from the newest Little Paper Shop release!!
Have a wonderful day,
P.S. 7 kids college fund is having a poll about which Magnolias to carry, so click here to take the pols and pick your 3 favs out of the 4 groups!!

Last Father's Day Card

Here is my last Father's Day card for this year. I made this one for my husband. I used SCS sketch this week, SC180, but just didn't add a sentiment on the outside. It says Happy Father's Day on the inside though. I also added Crystal Effects to the headlights and the windows to have the glass look and feel. I love these stamps from Little Paper Shop, you can find this one there. I used to only have two SU horse sets and one old truck from TAC for masculine cards, but now I have added this truck, the tractor as well as the quad to my collection (all from Little Paper Shop), so at least the men in my life won't get the same image all the time;-)
Just a quick post tonight as I am getting the kiddos ready for bed!! Thanks for stopping by and see you soon:-)
Stamps: Little Paper Shop- Truck and inside sentiment as well
Paper: Chatterbox PP, SU Cranberry Crisp, Blue Bayou, Wild Wasabi and Whisper White
Ink: Black Staz On
Accessories: CTMH Markers, crystal effects

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all you wonderful Dad's out there...not that any read my blog, but still, I hope you have a great day!!

Here is another card I made for today, this one is for my FIL Larkin. We invited him down for supper tonight, so he'll get this just a bit later. tractor from Little Paper Shop and the sentiments from the All Occasions set from Little Paper Shop as well.
I stamped the Cranberry Crisp and Blue Bayou pieces with the weathered background. I started off with the Friday Sketcher's Sketch this week, but my tractor image is rather large. Although it still uses the sketch...I think it looks a bit wonky because it's not really proportionate, but it's a tractor and a green one at the so I know Larkin will like it.
Oh, we went to Lethrbidge yesterday to pick up our new 5th wheel...I'm so excited. We even slept in it last night. Kirsten was so excited to have it home so we got all the beds made and we had a sleepover. Landon was up at 5:45 am this morning, so him and I came back in the house for a little more sleep, but Kirsten & Lance were out there until 9:30!!
Anyway, off I go to get some stuff cleaned up and ready for supper later today! I have one more Father's Day Card for you as well...stay tuned!!
Stamps: Tractor and sentiment-Little Paper Shop, weather background-SU
Paper; SU, Cranberry Crisp, Blue Bayou and Whisper White
Ink: SU Cranberry Crisp, Black Staz On, Blue Bayou around the edges of the sentiment circle
Accessories: Circle and Scallop circle nesties, CTMH Markers

Father's Day Card

Hey there, sorry I've been away so long, but I'm back now:-) I have been working on some fun projects, but they are top secret for a bit longer;-)

I made this card for one of the 3 men in my life, just not sure who's going to get it yet...Lance, my Dad or my FIL Larkin. I still have 2 more to do.
I used Little Paper's Shop's quad and sentiment for this one...colored it in with my CTMH markers and added Crystal Effects to the headlight. I pierced the top and bottom of the Wild Wasabi piece of CS. Added SU Double Sticthed Wild Wasabi ribbon, the tag and sentiment and it's done:-)
Hope you have a great evening and a wonderful weekend! Stay tuned for a couple more:-)

Red Rock Ranch

We ended up meeting Lance is Medicine Hat yesterday morning so I could do some shopping and such and then went down to our new place by Seven Persons. It's called the Red Rock Ranch and it's soooooo beautiful there. This is a pict Lance took of the kids and I by the Red Rock that Lavern (the previous owner) had made for his place with the name of his ranch and his brand engraved into the rock. It's really close to the Red Rock Coulee Natural Area, hence the name Red Rock Ranch. Just thought I would share some more picts with you...I hope you enjoy, sorry nothing crafty today:-)

This is just a really old barn that is on the one quarter. Lavern had some fence posts and wire and such in there and it's home to 2 little bunnies.

Here's one little bunny, it looks like something chewed on his ears though or maybe they were frost bitten or something..I dunno, but it's still cute.

And this little one has perfect ears....

Here is the view from the ridge looking down and although it's small, that building is actually the old barn.

Here is Lance, Kirsten & Landon walking away from the barn.

Here is a really super, duper old seeder from waaaaaay back in the day, the kind you would pull with horses..kinda neat to see old machinery like that.

And here is a picture of my monkeys jumping off the ledge where the cattle liner pulled in to unload the cow/calves the other day.

And I guess I should show you some of our critters, the whole reason we bought this place was for cows and calves, so here they are...in the distance that is:-)

That was our day yesterday. It was great! I hope you had a wonderful weekend as well.
