Faux Leather Birthday

I know, not such a creative title, but I was stuck!! Anyway, I made this one for my cousin Jason's birthday coming up this weekend. I know he doesn't read my blog so I'm safe to post already!! I tried out the faux leather look and am pleased with the results. I used Old Truck from TAC again...see I told you I only have a couple of sets for Masculine cards...either this Old Truck or Wanted or Bronco Buster from SU...so I'm a wee bit limited.

So I did the faux leather technique with the chocolate cs (I used the instructions from the CTMH Cherish book...I'm sure it must be on Splitcoast as well, but I had my Cherish book handy as I was on the phone with my friend Lorelei and she mentioned it so I looked it up and thought it would be perfect for this card! It would be great for western cards to...will try that out next time with one of my SU sets!! It is super easy actually, just wet some cs, crinkle into a ball, carefully unfold and let dry...now the instructions in the Cherish book said to iron it a wee bit on med heat, but I liked it better not ironed at all, so I just added some chocolate ink to mine to make the crinkles stand out a bit more and glued it down!

Here are a couple of closer picts of the liquid glass on the windshield and the faux leather paper...

It's snowy and cold and wintery here again today which really stinks, but it's supposed to be in the plus digits by the weekend!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Hope you have a super evening:-)
