Holiday time here I come!!

Well I had really hoped to have a chance to work on something and get a new card on here before we leave, but alas, I've run out of time and didn't get anything new finished up!! We are leaving in the morning for 2 weeks in Sandpoint, Idaho and I am so looking forward to this holiday!! I think I'm going to be lost for 2 weeks without email access or my Google reader to get all my favorite blog feeds....but what can ya do!! I'll have a ton of catching up to do when I get back that's for sure!!

Ariel view of the town of Sandpoint

Pend Oreille River...my parents have property about a mile from this river (it's huge though, so we call it a lake)
Another picts of Sandpoint...can't wait to get there!!

See ya in a couple weeks!!

Sending You Smiles

I love this cute Tilda!! I made this card using Katharina's Sketch #21. Her sketches are fabulous and she is starting her own stamp company called Whiff of Joy , check out her blog for some great sneak peaks of Charlotte & Charlie, they are seriously adorable!! I can't wait until they are available!!

That's about all I have for tonight! I have been busy with Kirsten's ballet camp and getting the 5th wheel ready for holidays. This getting up early and being on the road is wearin' me out...I am so looking forward to Saturday and the beginning of our holiday!!

Thanks for stopping in, hope you have a wonderful evening!!

Background

I know my background looks a wee bit wonky right now...The Cutest Blog on the Block where I got it from has updated their codes and such which is great because there isn't such a delay anymore with the background popping up, but now the spacing is off...so I am working on it...I really love it though, so I hope I don't have to change it:-) Hang in there with me!

Awards & Such

I must admit that I am not much of a sport when it comes to being tagged and passing on blogging awards. I really, really appreciate the blogging awards more than you know, I just never can decide who to pass it onto and usually eveyone already has them or has had them before by the time I get around to it! I only started my blog back in March not really sure what to expect and now with over 7000 hits in just 4 months, that makes me feel pretty good...at least a few poeple like what I have to share...probably my sisters for about 6900 hits, but that works too:-) Anyway, I wanted to take a few minutes and acknowledge all of my fantastic blogging friends for the following awards and such...

Now, my fantastic SBS 15 sisters Sammi & Nany gave me this wonderful blogging award, thank you so much, I feel so honored that you chose me:-)

I received this wonderful "Circle of Friends" from my great blogging friend Nikki, thanks so much Nikki, I love these gals!!

Ok, so on to the next one...see I told you I really have been lacking in the tagging/award department of the blogging world....Debbie from Debbie's Doodles and Chelle from The Many Adventures of A Painter Girl tagged me with 7 random and/or weird things, so here it goes

1. I LOVE to sing...I am absolutely terrible and will not be moving to Nashville anytime soon, but I love to sing along to songs that I love on the radio, my iPod or wherever fun tunes are playing!!

2. I really can't think of 7 things, why is this so hard??

3. I am the oldest of 3 girls and all of our names start with K, Kelly, Kristy & Kimberley!!

4. I love spending time with my family...not just my husband and children, but hanging out with my Mom and Dad and sisters is one of my favorite things to do....I would imagine there are a ton of close families out there, but it seems lately when I mention to people that we go on holidays with my family or the kids and I were over visiting, they kinda look at me like I'm nuts, but I love, love, love the fact we are so close...and actually like each other!

5. I absolutely hate onions....but every once in a while I will eat onion rings...but only from Dairy Queen and they have to be crisp not barley cooked like the last time I had them...that almost makes me not want them at all anymore!!

6. I used to play softball and was in synchronized swimming for a couple years.

7. My name starts with a K and so does my daughters and my husband's name starts with a L and so does my son's...not that it was planned that way though:-)

And last, but certainly not least, I have been honored yet again by my friend Nikki . She has an absolutely fabulous blog as does her 8 year old daughter Zoe, so please go and check them both out:-)

Now I have decided that I would like to pass this onto any of my fellow blogger and/or readers if you so choose!! I have so many inspiring blogs...speaking of which, I really need to update my bloglist, so I can't imagine picking just a few, you're all great!! Please take a moment to check out the blogs of all the fabulous gals that tagged me , they're all awesome!!

Have a great evening!!

Matching Card for Evan

Hi there!! I hope you're having a great weekend!! I finally finished up the matching card to add to yesterday's gift set that I made for my sister to give as a baby gift. I like things all matchy matchy and this set is definitely that. I love this cute little giraffe from TAC!!
Lance is off roping this morning and the kids and I are just hanging out! I have a bunch of stuff already out it the trailer and am working on the clothes end of things now, but need to pick up some hangers and such on Monday when I go to town. I hope to have everything ready to go by Thursday and then will get groceries Friday and then leave bright and early Saturday morning!
Wishing you a wonderful Sunday! Thanks for stopping by!!

Baby Gift Set For Evan

My sister Kristy asked me to make this set for her friend Scott and his wife Megan who recently welcomed a beautiful baby boy!
I made a name frame for him as well as a picture frame. I got both of the frames from Michaels, painted them and altered away....I love this paper from DCWV Nana's Kids and although I am now out of these 2 papers, there are lots more that I like, I just need some baby girls to come into the world!
Here is the name frame:

And here is the picture frame:

I added some fun little borders in Paint Shop, I think I like the top one better than the bottom one, but thought it makes my picts looks better!

Hope you're having a great weekend, thanks for visiting me today;-)

RAKS

Hello, hello!! My Mom brought out my little goody yesterday and while I forgot to take a picture of it, it is solely responsible for both of these great picts of RAKS that I have received. What is it you ask...a funky new Ott light. My Mom called on Tuesday after her hair appointment and just happened to be at Costco. I remember being there and seeing them last week, but didn't have a chance to get back over to grab one. Anyway, I had her pick me up one and she brought it out with her yesterday. I LOVE it!! It makes such a huge difference. After seeing this post by Katharina, I knew I would soon be on the road to nicer picts!!

This is a RAK card I received from Dawn. I love this set and commented every time she made a card with it. I was so excited when I got it in the mail. I love the cowgirl and the SU paper is by far my very fav, just wish it was still available!! I'm sure you all know Dawn, but have a look see ather wonderful work..oh and she is one of the newest SCS Dirty Girls!! Way to go Dawn!!
I finally broke down and ordered this set and some of those fun Changito monkeys from The Town Scrapper. Phebe is fabulous and ships worldwide too!!

This RAK card is from Jaqueline and was in my package of blog goodies I won from her blog a couple weeks ago...I LOVE it, very fun, cool papers, fun acetate piece, great blong, all around wonderful card!! Check out her fabulous creations!!

Well off I go, am working on getting our 5th wheel all packed up as we leave on holidays on the 25th:-)

Time for a change!!

Hey everyone!! I'm sure you can tell by now that I have been playing around with the background and such on my blog....what do you think?? I really love that it is so easy to get a free background from The Cutest Blog On The Block, but am not loving that I can't seem to get a border color that matches close enough to not look like a border...ya know what I mean...so there is a border around my little siggy and I'm not crazy about it, but it's late and I need to be sleeping, so maybe I'll try again tomorrow night. There are a ton of funky backgrounds and way more that I like, so let's call it a work in progress...but I would love your opinion if you would like to share it with me.

My Mom is coming tomorrow for a visit before they leave for Sandpoint on Friday. She also picked me up a little something at Costco that will help my picture issue out immensely...I hope...I'll show you inthe next day or 2, I promise!!

Chat with you soon,

Kelly

Summer Tilda Spring Card

I know my post titles aren't very exciting...not really sure how to change that either, but anyway...here's another Spring card I made for our get together night tonight at my friend Nikki's house. I had this really fun idea in my head and can still see it in my head. It didn't turn out like the idea I initially had, but I am happy with it now. Here is the side view soyou can see the "spring" in it....I used a much heavier cardstock this time instead of just a regular pattern paper weight and am happier with it.
Everyone made super cards tonight at Nikki's, some very fun creations!! I think they all used solid colored carsdtock and then embellished and such from there and I think that's what I'm going to try next time, they turned out fabulous!!
I stamped Tilda on watercolor paper, colored her in with Prismacolor pencils and blended with OMS, then cute her out. I stamped the bench on watercolor paper and colored the water and bench with Twinkling H2Os, hopefully you can see the lovely micro shimmer they have and then used a stipple brush for the sky...the patterned paper is my We R Memory Keepers, Tilda and Bench from Magnolia and the flip flops are from CTMH, stamped on watercolor paper and colored in with Hollyhock CTMH marker and a light pink Twinkling H2O as well...I totally forgot to see if I could get a picture of the dimension...I popped up the flip flops as well as the scalloped circle and Tilda is popped up on the bench as well!! Oh yes and I added Stardust stickles to her buttons, and wings and stardust glitter pen onthe little dots onher bathing suit..very sparkly IRL:-)
I hope you have a great night...sorry this is so late again....my days just seem to run away on me:-) Thanks so much for visiting me and please come back soon!!
P.S. Quick poll to my regular visitors and even first time visitors...do you like to see a supply list or recipe kinda thing or does it matter?? Thanks for your input!

Boom Di Ada Spring Card

Hey there!! I made this card for tonight's CTMH get together at my good friend Nikki's house...Hi Nik!! Nikki is a CTMH consultant and I belong to a monthly stamp club with 7 or 8 (I forget) great gals and tonight is our get together for this month! Nikki is beyond busy with her 4 children, summer reading program, she has family visiting right now and is getting ready to go on a family trip, so she asked for some suggestions with our project for tonight. I suggested this card from SCS, so that's what we're gonna do:-) I get to teach everyone how to make one too, but with the super easy instructions from SCS, it'll be easy peasy!! I used all CTMH products with the exception of the rhinestone brads which are from Karen Foster I believe. Sorry for the terrible picture...I don't have the greatest lighting in my craft room when it is really crappy outside!
Anyway, just a quick post for today...I have a couple other projects on the go...have a wonderful day!! Thanks for stopping by!

Sugarland!!

WOW, my sister Kristy and her boyfriend Jason, my sister Kim and I went to Sugarland last night at the Calgary Stampede and it was fantastic!! I love them and the show was awesome!! Here are some picts, most of mine were fuzzy, but some turned out ok....oh ya...our seats were great!!

Miranda Lambert opened the show

Jennifer Nettles-Sugarland

Kristian Bush-Sugarland

Sugarland Together

My favorite song...All I Want To Do

After the last song and they left and then came back, right before the lights went back on a huge curtain fell and then some lights came on and Jennifer & Kristian were in these humongous plastic balls....so they asked that people keep them up as they rolled along the crowd...so cool!! This is Kristian in his ball on his way back to the stage after he went passed us!!

Jennifer Nettles pickin' away

So that's it...my non-crafty post again today!! Sorry to those of you that tune in to specifically see a card or something crafty, I think I need to change my header to read "Crafting Creatively....and other random tidbits"!!! I knew I would end up sharing random stuff about life and such and I love reading about other people's lives, families, interests, seeing picts, etc, so I hope you don't mind!

We have a super busy day tomorrow (Kirsten has a birthday party to go to, Lance's sister, niece and Dad is coming for supper) and then Lance goes out to Saskatchewan for 3 days...so I am hoping to have some time to get some fun stuff done (need to get our 5th wheel loaded up too)...I received my Magnolia Summer Stamp Club the other day and am just getting it mounted and trimmed up....if you are interested in the fall kit, click here. You have to pre-order it now (not sure when they end the pre-order stage) then they charge your cc and will ship it out in Sept or Oct. You get 6-7 Tildas or Edwins and then a bunch of other coordinating stamps (all unmounted, so you will need some EZ Mount)...very good deal if you ask me, mine worked out to be $48CDN for everything, shipping, exchange, etc....You can also get individual stamps from Diana at magnolia.us@shaw.ca. I have gotten stamps from Diana as well, and her customer service, timing, selection, shipping, everything is fantastic. She will soon have her online store up and running (give or take a few weeks), but for now, if you email her, she will email you back a catalog of the current stamps she has in stock and then you can go from there!!

Wow, this is a pretty long winded post...guess that's what happens when you're gone for a few days...if you're still with me, thank you!! ((((((Big Hugs)))))) to you!!! Have a wonderful evening and thanks for popping in!!

Little Paper Shop sale

Julia from Little Paper Shop has changed her logo and packaging and is having a sale to blow out the current stock in order to make room for her splashy new stuff. Check it out here for 10%-25% off all stmaps sets...oh and Butterflies and Blossoms is back in stock!!

It's Your Day...Go Bananas

Wow, it's been few days since I've been here...yikes, time flies!! We've had company here and there the last couple days so that's kept me busy. I finally had a chance to get a card made for a birthday party Kirsten will be going to on Sunday. Gabe was in preschool with Kirsten and is turning 5. He is having a jungle themed party, so I thought Monkey Mike from High Hopes would be perfect!! I stamped the trees on the back piece and then stamped Monkey Mike and the bananas and cut them out and popped them all up on dimensionals for a nice 3D effect. Here is a side view of sorts that shows it a wee bit better.
I decided that it needed some sky and forgot to do that before hand, so I have added a nice sky in the background of the trees with my SU pastels...imagine that with me...I will hopefully re-take the pict and add it here later tonight. It does look much better with the sky added..not so bright white!!
Anyway, off I go, I need to get a move on another birthday card too...my friend Karen's daughter Hailey turns 4 on Saturday. We are off to my Mom and dad's tomorrow for a 2 night sleepover...I have to make a trip to Costco and get some stuff for the 5th wheel, then on Friday I am going to Sugarland with my sisters Kim and Kristy and Kristy's boyfriend Jason...oh my gosh, it;s going to be great!! Then back home at some point on Saturday!! I have some fun blog candy's to check out as well and I have been given some fun awards and been tagged too, so I need to get to that as well....
Thanks for visiting me!!

Skipping Tilda

Well I did start off with this weeks SCS sketch challenge, but it didn't really turn out for me. I wanted to use one of my new Magnolia stamps I had gotten from Diana and had cardstock cut for a 5.25" square card (cause I thought it would better fit the size fo this image), the when I went to mat the image and such I cut right into my 5.25" card that I already had folded and ready to go...needless to say I was a bit miffed at myself and didn't feel like chopping up another piece of cs, so I just went with the regular 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card instead. I really love the sentiment from Aud Design and of course Tilda with the skipping rope and ball cap on backwards, she's too cute!!
We had a wonderful visit over at my sister and Jason's place yesterday. It was nice to finally see where she lives. She moved in with her boyfriend Jason in February, but we usually see them at my Mom and Dad's or here at our house, so it was about time the kids and I went to see them at their house. The kids had a ton of fun and of course didn't want to leave. I think they were both asleep before I got out of the driveway and then the whole time I got groceries, I carried Landon and he slept on my shoulder. He didn't even wake up at all when I took him out of his car seat, just slept right through everything. Likewise, he didn't wake again after I loaded everything into the Durango and put him back in his seat...tired little monkey, that's for sure. Kirsten was a great helper pushing the cart for me...it's tough to get groceries with a 2.5 year old asleep on your shoulder:-)
We are having a couple of Lance's friends out today to vaccinate and castrate our calves, so I need to get a move on it and get some chili and goodies for lunch started:-)
Thanks for stopping in and I hope you have a fantastic day!

Our new home away from home!!

Well I know I have mentioned a few times that we were homeless when it came to an RV since we sold our other one to my sister Kim, well, no more. Here is our new home away from home!
Come on, I'll take you for a tour!! So here is what the outside looks like with the slide out:

This is our bed up top with lots of storage space...love it!!

Now if you can see the closet thingie on the right hand side kinda by our bed, well on the other side of that is the shower (you can sort of see the corner of the closet/hutch thingie ) and then across from that is the sink, the toilet is right behind the sink with it's own door/lights, etc

This is the view looking back from the entry door way area

The kitchen, love it too, there is lots of space, plus a pantry by table and lots of storage above and below the entertainment space where we need to put a TV. Just as you walk in the door, there are 2 bar stools, perfect for having the kids have a bite to eat right a the breakfast bar and scoot them back out the door:-)

These are the kids bunks. So the beds are on the left and the whole right side is closets and drawers and a space for a TV, etc and both beds are the double bunks instead of just the single...much easier for me to crawl in with Landon...although I hope I don't have to. He has been great so far in just our sleepovers at home, just gets up too early, but stays in bed, so I am crossing my fingers that when we got to Sandpoint for 2 weeks, that stays the same!

Then this is the view looking forward from back by the table!

That's all, my tour of our new 5th wheel!!
Today is the huge release from High Hopes Stamps, you have to check it out, oh my gosh, so many new cute stamps...have a peek:-)
Wishing all of my US friends a very Happy 4th of July!! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!

Essence Of Love

I've had this set for a while but had not inked it up yet...I really didn't have anything in mind when I started but just new I wanted to use it! I really love it and am not sure why I see to be so stumped when it comes to using it. Anyway, I made this thinking of you card for my stash. Most of my Mom's family live in Ontario, so I could send it to any one of them, or one of my grandmas...not sure just yet, but someone will receive it soon enough...or I think maybe my Mom's card tin could be starting to run low...I'll see, but it will have a new home soon.
We are off to town to get some groceries and some goodies for the 5th wheel...I'll show you some picts of our new home away from home tomorrow:-)
Have a super day!!
Stamps: SU-Essence of Love
Paper: SU Soft Sky, TLC Chocolate CS, SU Afternoon Tea DSP

Claudia's Awesome Blog Candy

Hey everyone, just had to share some awesome blog candy news with you....head on over to Claudia's amazing blog Pretty Pressings for your chance to win. She is celebrating 170 000 hits and has this adorable lil' book handmade by Claudia and included plastic sleeves that will hold 200 stamped images...some you can pick, some she has already stamped. you'll also win a brand new magnolia stamp and a roll of SU ribbon. Now I really don't want you to enter because I would like to win, but I guess I should be nice and give you the chance as well since Claudia has been so generous to offer this amazing blog candy!!

Good Luck!!!

A Flower For You

I finally had time to get to my new Magnolia stamps and am pretty happy with the way this one turned out. I used Katharina's Sketch # 19 for this one. I love this sketch!! Actually I love all of her sketches I just never seem to get to them, but because the Magnolias are a bit bigger image, I thought this would work perfect. I left off the sentiment because I'm not yet sure who I'm giving this one to and in all honesty I wanted to use "For You" and had particular stamp in mind with a really simple font, but I just can't seem to remember where it might be...SU, CTMH, all of my unmounteds....hmmm, not sure, but when I find it, I will stamp it ont he upper right side...so just imagine for now I guess;-)
I am off to get potatoes peeled for supper...we are having roast, mashed potatoes and Yorkshire pudding...although the kids could care less about anything but the Yorkshire pudding and gravy, but whatever works, they won't go to bed hungry even if they only eat a plate full of Yorkshires!!
Have a wonderful evening and thank for stopping by!
Stamps: Magnolias
Paper: CTMH Let's Get Together
Accessories: CTMH Markers, CTMH Let's Get Together Ribbon, Stardust Stickles

Nikki over at Bunny-Zoe's has reached 10 000+ as well and also has awesome blog candy up for grabs...I would love that cute Papilio stamp:-) (well Iw ould love it all, but considering you can't get those stamps over here, that would be a major win!!) You can check it and all the other fun goodies out here

I thought I had a couple more to add but can't find my paper that I had everything written on....hmmm...if I remember or find it, I'll be back, but definitely check out these 2 fantastic blogs, their work is absolutely fabulous!!

I do have a fun new Magnolia card to show you, but just need to take a pict and such first...I'll be back later today.....oh and just a hint...I was going to have some blog candy at 5000 hits, but that kinda ran away on me...so when I get to 10 000 hits, I'll have some goodness up as well!!
