A Puzzle for you!

Actually I made this for Laurel (it's her birthday next Saturday), a little girl in Kirsten's pre-school class and hopefully they will be together in kindergarten in Sept.

I saw this on Lacey's blog but haven't had the chance to get one done until now. It really was alot of work by the time I stamped and masked everything off to stamp the fence again and color it all in, etc..but as soon as my daughter watched it go through the Cuttlebug as a 41/4 x 51/2 piece and come out as a puzzle, I knew it was all worth it and that I'll definitely be making many more of these. I think Laurel will love it too. Thanks Lacey for the awesome tutorial.!! I just found Lacey's blog and I really don't even know where from, but she's a very talented gal, check out her blog. She also has a wee box for the puzzle to go in and I will be making one to match, just haven't gotten that far yet!! I will definitely post it though once I have it finished!!

Here it is all colored in, added Stickles and Twinkling h2os, just waiting to be puzzled....
Voila...after a quick run through the CB...here it is...oh and I used 2-140lb watercolor paper pieces (41/4 x 51/2) and a piece of SU Whisper White in the middle. It was a tough roll through the CB, but it all worked good:-)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!! Enjoy:-)

  1. Oh wow Kelly, this is fabulous. I love the little scene you have created and can see this must have taken some time to do.. but so worth all the effort. I really love the puzzle idea. I'd love for you to tell me more about this when you get the time. I have a CB but have never seen a die that makes a puzzle. I am sure Kirsten's little friend is just gonna love it. Hugs, Nikki x

  2. Great job, Kelly!! I am so happy that I inspired you :-) Aren't those puzzles so much fun? I have a new product that makes these puzzles a LOT easier (at least with the paper part). I love your scene you created...so much time and effort. I am sure your daughter's friend will enjoy it.

  3. What a great idea Kelly. You've made a wonderful job with this and Kirsten's friend will absolutely love it. I've been thinking about buying a cuttlebug recently and this is persuading me more that I need one. Lewis would love to have some cards like that himself as he loves doing jigsaws at the moment. Hugs, Lainy xx
