Double Duty~High Hopes #16 & Kraftin Kimmie's Challenge

Wohoo, it's only Monday night and I already have 2 challenges done for this week...well I cheated a wee bit...I have one card that magically fits both challenges!!



The High Hopes challenge is brought to us by Ila-Artfully Ila and it is to incorporate lace into your project. Then over at Kim Reid's blog Kraftin Kimmie's Korner, it is Day 1 of her week long birthday celebration and her challenge is to use purple somewhere on your card and it must be a birthday card. So without further ado...here is the card I entered in both challenges....



I used my Spica Glitter pens for some shimmer and here is a close up of that..although it actually turned out pretty good in the pict...

I had a really hard time trying to match the pink in the paper and this seems a bit bright, but I am still happy with it. I managed to use my lace Martha Stewart punch as well as a piece of lace I pinched from Kirsten's stash, so I'm good as far as the High Hopes challenge goes. I used lots of purple and this is a card for a very good friend of mine who has a birthday this Friday, so I'm in for Kim's Birthday Challenge #1 as well.
