The Winner is.....

Lynn, you are my winner! If you can email me your mailing address I will pop your new magazine in the mail asap!

We are just getting packed up, the last tids bits and will be off in the morning. I'm sorry I won't have anything to share with you while I'm gone, just not enough hours in the day...

See you in 2 weeks!!

**The Big Things** DDCC#57-MTSC32

Yay for Thursday, that means we leave tomorrow morning!! For this weeks Dutch Dare Card Challenge, we would like you to use lace on your card/project.

I just had to use my new lace from Nikki's store Bunny Zoes Crafts, it's fabulous! I also used some new MME papers and a quote from A Dream by Little Paper Shop. The fabulous crochet flower is from my winnings at the Scrap Online challenge blog, thanks Karin, they are beautiful!

The sketch I have used is by Mercy for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #32. She is back with her sketches and they are wonderful!

That will do it for me for today, just running around with some last minute things to get done, groceries and that.

Thanks for visiting and I wish you a wonderful weekend!

Forever Friends & A Giveaway!

Man, things are crazy around here. Time is running out really quick before we leave for our vacation in Sandpoint. I had hoped to get a few cards made to post while I am gone, but it's not looking like that will happen. I do have one to share with you today though followed by a short give-away....

I was lucky enough to win Tammi's Forever Friends giveaway and received several of these sweet little bears. (Thanks Tammi, they're so sweet!!) Now, I thought I was using the sketch from Friday Sketchers this week, but instead it's the Just Magnolia sketch. Obviously it won't work as it's a wee bear not a Magnolia image, but still a great sketch.

I used some new Cosmo Cricket papers that I picked up last week, the Girl Friday line, I used Saturday (front and back) and Sunday. I paired that with some older SU Blue Bayou paper for my card base and mats and that's all folks! I did add a wee bit of sparkle with my Spica glitter pens to the flowers.

Now, onto the give-a-way. I ended up with 2 of these great magazines and would like to give 1 away, to you, my fabulous readers! It's the Summer '09 issue of Scrapbook and Cards Today and has a ton of great stuff.

So if this would be of interest to you, just leave me a comment between now and 9 am MST on Thursday and I will pop it in the mail before we go away! I'll ship anywhere!

Off I go to get my clothes packed!

Thanks so much for stopping in!

Double Whammy! ASFOS63-MOJO96

We had such a fabulous day yesterday at Calaway Park! The kids had a blast and it was a great day all around!

This card actually works for a couple of challenges, hence the post title:-) I made it using the Mojo Monday # 96 sketch and I used my funky new BossKut corner swirl die for the challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar which is to use Swirls.

This is some fun new paper I got from a LSS, I just love these colors! It's MME Dazzling Summer and Dazzling Sugar and Spice. Of course one of the sweet Miss Anya's from The Greeting Farm is my image and I left the sentiment off for 2 reasons, 1) I ran out room and 2) I'm not sure who will be getting this just yet. I'll add something to the inside though when it's ready to go to a new home. I added lots of fun little pearls, to the flower centers but also to the ends of the swirly pieces too!

I need to scoot, I am going to my first ever spin class with my friend Amy today, so I need to get my stuff together and get to town so she doesn't leave without me!

Thanks so much for visiting and hanging in there with me even when I don't have a card to share!

Hugs,

Riding With Dad

Here are the picts I promised to show. Lance saddled 2 of our horses the other night and took each of the kiddos for a ride. They really love it!!

Here is Kirsten coming back from her ride with Lance...I know it's not a fabulous picture, but they're holding hands!

Lance and Landon just coming back from a ride to the creek.

Kirsten and Lance almost home.

Landon and Lance almost home.

My cowgirl posing!

My little cowboy riding his tricycle...he really needs a new bike...he won't ride his sister's princess bike (no wonder) so he sticks with this one!

Well, that's it for me for today. My friend Nikki is coming this afternoon with her kiddos for a visit, so I am off to grab lunch. Thanks for stopping in! I will have a card for you this week, I promise!

**Wedding Ensemble**

I don't have a card to share today as I have been busy trying to get the programs for Kristy's wedding done...but I do have a picture of the finished programs! 20 are totally done with the rest just waiting for ribbon and flowers!!

I now have all 75 ready for ribbon and flowers, finally! It didn't seem like that much work until you have to sit and get everything cut out! Each program has 4 staggered layers and then tucked inside the shimmery grey cs, 2 ribbons wrapped around the front and then the flower with pearl center in the middle. Here are the programs...

only 20 done so far....55 to go!!

Thank you card...still need 50 of these hummers...

the invites...I know I already showed these but just wanted to show them again with everything else that is all matchy match!

I am really proud of how they turned out, they really are so pretty IRL!

I have some picts of the kiddos riding with Lance the other night and will post them tomorrow!

Have a fabulous Tuesday!

Unity -AMYRS72

I had the greatest idea as soon as I saw Amy's sketch this week but it totally didn't come together like the idea in my head. Anyway, here is the card I made. I used a Unity quote and all CTMH papers. I colored the stamp with CTMH markers first, then huffed and stamped it onto SU Shimmery White cs.

I inked the edges of the quote oval and the mat with a way too full ink pad (I forgot I just re-inked it but was committed after I started)!! Oooops. The ribbon is from my stash from Taylored Expressions and I added wee rhinestones (CTMH) to the flower centers on the quote. I did leave off the sentiment and fill the card up more than the sketch because I have the quote in there as the focal point, there wasn't a need for a sentiment.

All in all I still think it's pretty although it didn't come together quite like I was thinking!

We had a super weekend. The kids just got in from a ride now and I took a bunch of pictures...I will upload them after and post some tomorrow. Now that Kirsten's camp is done we have a pretty uneventful week coming up. We are going to Calaway Park on Thursday with my friend Amy and her 2 sweet girls Kyra and Kaylee, the kids get along great, so I think it'll be a great day!

Other than that I will just be starting to get the 5th wheel ready for our holidays at the end of the month and laundry, there's never a shortage of that around here!

Thank you for visiting and I hope you have a super week ahead.

DDCC#60-SFYTT-Skateboard Boy

Over on the Dutch Dare Card Challenge blog we have a great challenge for you to get out your punches and/or cutting dies and incorporate them into your card...actually it's something everyone pretty much does anyway, so really it's a easy challenge!

Here is the card I made for this challenge and I used Jen's great SFYTT from Saturday. This sweet young boy is Mimo Skate that I got from the fabby online store Bunny Zoes Crafts.

Used some fun MME papers and Bazzil cs and it's done. I used the star CB die and of course my nesties as well.

My sister Kristy is here today and tomorrow and we are going to be busy making wedding thank you cards as well as programs! Hopefully we get something accomplished, but my expectations are not very high...you see the kids are so excited she's here that I think crafting will take a back seat! Oh well, I will get them finished in time...we still have 6 weeks.

Thanks you for stopping in and have yourself a fabulous day!

ASFOS # 60- Copic Certification

This has been a crazy week and it's only Wednesday. Kirsten started a fun day camp in Bassano on Monday and goes every day this week in the afternoon for 4 hours. Bassano is 20 minutes away from our house (each direction) so by the time I drop her off and come home, I really don't have too much time before I go back into town and pick her up, so I haven't had a chance to get crafty yet, well until today that is. Our power was also out on Monday from 2:30pm until 9 am Tuesday morning, so that didn't help either.

Anyway, I had a chance this afternoon to get something done. Debbie has a fabulous sketch over on the A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge blog, so I paired that with the fact my Magnolia Summer Kit just arrived and went to work. I really love this MME paper and have been neglecting it, so I thought I would pull it out.

As I said I used one of the sweet Magnolias and colored her in with my Copics. I just used some of the flowers from one of the sheets of paper to decorate the corners and then added a prima, some rhinestones (they are orange and match just right but don't seem to show very well in the pict) and BG blue Opaline pearls in the flower centers.

Speaking of Copics, I am so excited that I will be going to the Copic Certification class in Calgary on August 22nd!! I can't wait. Let me know if you'll be there too.

I should scoot, another busy day. Landon and I are going to Brooks to get an oil change on the Durango and do some running around while Kirsten is at her camp.

Thanks for stopping in, I'll be back tomorrow with my Dutch Dare card!

You Rock!-AMYRS71-HH#39

Well I am lucky enough to be able to use this pattern paper to qualify for the challenge this week over on the High Hopes blog. I used Amy's sketch for the layout and of course the fabulous rockstar and sentiment are from High Hopes.

I used CTMH, TLC and DCWV papers and added some glitter to her funky microphone and belt buckle. I think she looks pretty cute! I made this for my friend Karen's 5 year old daughter whose birthday is actually today, Happy Birthday Hailey!

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend! We just finished watching the semi finals of the Calgary Stampede rodeo and then the finals will be on in 90 minutes and then the chuckwagon finals...looks like a tv night tonight!

Wedding Thank You For My Sister

Time is ticking away and it's getting closer to my sister's wedding this August. I made some thank yous for her to use and this is the one she decided on....I think...for now!

I used Very Vanilla and Elegant Eggplant SU cs, a beautiful shimmery grey paper from a scrapbook store in Ontario. I used SU Baroque Motifs and embossed it in silver and then added some small flowers in Elegant Eggplant and the EE bridal flowers as well (they wre ivory, I just used my Copics to color them. The sentiment is from CTMH and is stamped in EE. They are really pretty and other than the embossing, quite simple, so it will be easy enough to make 45-50 of them!

Off to get some supper ready for the kiddos, Lance is roping tonight so it'll be something quick!

Thank you for stopping by and I wish you a wonderful weekend!

**Wonderful You**

I finally come out from my laundry and house cleaning today to make a card that will fit a few challenges. First off, it is the July Magnolia-licious sketch, which can be found on the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group or the Magnolia-licious Highlites blog. It will also work for the Just Magnolia challenge this week as well which is to use charms.

I used one of the sweet Tildas from the spring kit and added flower soft to her basket of flowers. All paper is from the Emporium packet from CTMH. I added some primas and spacers and then topped them off with some of BG's Opaline half back pearls. I used 3 butterfly charms and the same halfback pearls, just the smaller size.

Just short and sweet tonight as I am off to watch the rodeo and chuckwagon races from the Calgary Stampede!

Thanks for stopping in and Miss Em if you happen to read this, please contact me so that I can get your goody bag out to you. If I haven't heard from Miss Em by Friday at noon MST, then I will redraw a lucky winner from my followers list:-) Jacilynn, your package is on it's way!

A Pajama Party-High Hopes #38- AMRYTFS3

Lance went roping this morning for a while so I had a chance to get a card made! I made this one for the High Hopes Challenge # 38 brought to us by Crissy and the challenge is to use Lots and Lots of Polka Dots! I also used the sketch from Amy's Prarie Paper and Ink that is actually created by Tammy Fielder of Layout In The Sun. A fun sketch for sure although I had some trouble with it, but I will be using it again for sure!

I used a super cute stamp (as well as the sentiment) from High Hopes called Crissy's Snuggle Bear. All paper is from SU and definitely full of polka dots!

Hope you're having a fabulous Sunday, thanks for stopping by!

Motivet Teaser

Hop on over to the Motivet blog for a chance to win the set of 8 new stamps...they are way too cute!!

We are home now but I am just buried under a ton of laundry...why is it that the kids clothes are way dirtier after camping than just hanging around home...every sink is full of clothes that are soaking! They are just soaking in the tub themselves!!

I'll be back tomorrow with my Dutch Dare #55...a day late though, sorry!!
