Gift Set for Kieran

Wow, what a busy weekend we had!! Finally finished getting Kirsten's old bed moved into Landon's room, took down Landon's crib and then set up Kirsten's new bookcase headboard, bed,etc in her room!! It still kinda looks like a tornado went through her room, but I'll help her tidy up that another day. It was back to pre-school for Kirsten this morning as well as spring break is now over:-(

I made this card and frame for a friend of mine, Angie who recently had her first baby!! It took quite some time for her and her hubby to get pregnant, so what a blessing he is!! Well...all babies are a blessing I know, but it makes it so special for those people who can't wait to start a family but proves to be somewhat difficult:-) It was a boy...and all along they thought they were having a girl!! They found out at the ultrasound that is was a girl...but obviously they missed some pretty important parts!!LOL!! Here I was all excited because I had some some shopping for Angie's baby early and was just waiting for the news...so when I heard it was a boy, yikes...I had to start from scratch again!! Anyway I have a little outfit to go along with this set and will send it on it's way in a day or 2.

I just checked out Julee's Mojo Monday sketch and it looks pretty good...hoepfully I will get to that later this week! I also just receive my 2nd order of ribbon from Taylor and it is wonderful!! Such great quality ribbon from such a sweet gal...go check out her site, she has fabulous ribbon!!
Off I go for today, thanks for stopping by and have a super day;-)

Garden Angel

TGIF!! I made this card for a friend of mine who we went to visit the other day. I meant to bring her a picture of Kirsten from her dance recital last week and totally forgot, so I made this card for her to say "Hi" and will pop the picture in there!!
We got about an inch or so of snow last night and it isn't going anywhere too fast, but that's ok cause the kids are excited to go for a sleigh ride.
We are going to pick up the new mattress for Kirsten's new bed tomorrow and then will get her bed, etc set up and then scoot her mate's bed into Landon's room, so it should be an eventful weekend!! She is excited to have all her Tinkerbell stuff in her room! I just finished washing the new bedding, so it's already to go for tomorrow!
Hope you have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by:-)

Hey There

Well I have had a couple busy days and a wonderful lazy day today!! I took the kids over to my Mom and Dad's on Monday afternoon and my sister Kim and I went to the Rascal Flatts concert in Calgary!! It was super, fantastic, awesome, wonderful...yes I loved it!! We had 4th row seats and they were terrific, definitely makes the concert so much better!! Taylor Swift opened and she was great!! So much talent and such a wonderful young gal...only 18 years old too!! WOW!! It was part of my Christmas present from my Mom and Dad and I loved it!! Thanks Mom and Dad!! I got to go to the concert and they got to hang out with the grand kids...win, win situation I say:-) Anyway, Kim and I went for supper before hand and then to the concert, it was a great night out!! We then stayed the night at my Mom and Dad's and went to my friend Karlie's for a visit on Tuesday afternoon and then came home. The internet company that we go through was upgrading equipment today, so my internet was down so the kids and I just were hangin' out:-) Now that it's back up I thought I'd post a card I made with one of my favorite High Hopes Stamps...Jolie's Little Friend. I love High Hopes and am off now to figure out which ones of the new "jungle" themed stampes I must have!!

Have a super night and thanks for popping by!!

Happy Easter

I made these two cards for my kids for Easter!! I love High Hopes stamps, they are adorable and so much fun to color!! I haven't decided who will get which card yet...nothing like leaving it to the last minute hey!! Oh well, they'll get tossed to the side soon after anyway so they can check out some Easter goodies:-)
We are having my mother and father in-law down for Easter dinner tomorrow afternoon which will be wonderful as my MIL is undergoing radiation treatments right now for colon cancer, so I am happy that she is well enough to join us and see the kids! On Friday we went to my parents place and had a great day with my sister Kristy and her boyfriend Jason and my youngest sister Kim. Both of my sisters did an Easter egg hunt for the kids and they loved it!!
Well off to bed I go....morning comes early with 2 children who are waiting for the Easter bunny!!
Wishing you and your families a wonderful Easter!

Dancing Dreams for Kirsten

I made this card for my daughter Kirsten for her dance recital tonight. She is 5 and this is her second year of ballet and she loves it! I got a sneak peek at the end production number on Tuesday at her dress rehearsal and they are so cute!! She and the other 4 girls are dressed up as cowgirls for their number, so I'm excited to be able to see the whole show tonight. I'm hoping to have her pictures tonight and will post one when I get a moment...maybe this weekend sometime.

We are going to my Mom and Dad's tomorrow for Easter dinner and my sisters are having an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. Then we are hoping to have my in-laws down to our house on Sunday for dinner and some Easter goodies.

Kirsten is off school next week, so I am hoping to get some more stamping done and organizing their rooms. Kirsten's new bed and Tinkerbell bedding is in so we are switching out her mate's bed into Landon's room and he'll come out of his crib and then Kirsten gets a double bed...all decked out in Tinkerbell. I bought some storage units for their toys from Ikea, so I need to get those assembled as well.

Have a super day and thank for stopping by!

I did make a little spot of ground for Juliette to leap off of but the marker is really light so it didn't show up well in the photo, but she is still just as cute!!

Splitcoast Challenge #TLC160

Well I decided to participate in a Splitcoast Challenge. I don't do them very often...seem to forget to check them out, but lately I've been in the "challenge" mode, so it's workin' for me!! This was a Try a New Technique Challenge and you were to use the negative image from your Cuttlebug embossing folders....although it seems so easy...it took me a few different folders to finally find one that I got to work and that I liked! Some had to much ink and others not enough, but I'm happy with this one.
I really love this stamp set, it's so easy to make something pretty in no time!!
Kirsten has her dress rehersal this afternoon for her upcoming ballet recital on Thursday. Landon and I are going to have a visit with my good friend Nikki while Kirsten is at dress rehersal and then going to my Mom and Dad's for a visit...and some Easter shopping.
It looks like a nice sunny day out today....the snow will be all gone...for now anyway:-)
Have a fantastic day and thanks for popping by!

Lizabeth Birthday

It was my sister Kristy's birthday yesterday and this is the card and tin I made for her using Lizabeth Biking Angel from High Hopes...isn't she too cute!! I went a little crazy with the Dew Drops, but I am still happy with the way it turned out! I used patterned paper from the K & Co slab from Costco for both the card and matching tin. I've had it sitting around for a while, but finally opened it and there a ton of great papers in there. I just tucked a gift card inside for her to buy whatever he little heart desires at the mall. We had a wonderful steak & crab dinner and topped it off with The Pioneer Woman's Best Chocolate Sheet Cake Ever and let me tell you....it was awesome. Such wonderful chocolate goodness!!

It's snowming lightly here right now so with not much else going on today, I'm off to finish up our farm income tax stuff so I can take it to the accountant tomorrow...fun, fun, fun!!

Have a super day and thanks for stopping by!

Tagged!!!

Ok, I am new to this blogging thing and my new blogging friend Denise at All Things Stamped has tagged me to post 7 random and/or weird things about myself...

Ok, here it goes:

1. I hate onions, but I like onion rings from Dairy Queen and DQ only...weird I know:-)
2. I am almost 30 and I still have a baby tooth....it's in there like concrete too, not going anywhere!!
3. Are we at 7 yet?
4. I am the oldest of 3 girls and all of our names begin with K...Kelly, Kristy & Kimberley..not weird just random:-)
5. Wow, still 2 more to go
6. This is hard...I kinda think I'm rather normal...not so weird, ok well other than #1, I know that's weird!!
7. My husband is 8 years older than me, we have been married for almost 9 years and have 2 awesome kids, Kirsten who is 5 and Landon is 2!!

That's it, done!! thanks so much Denise!!!

Well we are off to ballet this afternoon in the snow...but it's melting fast so it shouldn't be around too long!!

Oh ya, I almost forgot, High Hopes is having a HUGE release tonight at midnight, so hop on over and take a look...I've been lucky enough to have a sneak peek and the images and sentiments are fabulous, you're gonna love them!!

Have a fantastic weekend!

Cherish

I made this as one of the many cards to fill my Grandma's tin. Although it is a fairly simple card, I love the colors and Baroque Motifs is one of my favorite sets. The Stardust Stickels don't show up very well in the photo, but it does add some sparkle IRL. Simple, yet elegant I think!
I was parent helper this morning at playschool and had a great day with the kids. I just found out that kindergarten registration is April 3rd...I can't believe Kirsten will be in kindergarten this fall, time flies way too fast!
Off to do some more creating!
Thanks for stopping by!

Horses for Morgan

I made this card for Morgan, the daughter of one of my best friends, Nikki! Morgan is such a wonderful young lady. She recently turned 7 and in lieu of gifts she asked for donations to Samaritans Purse instead!!! How awesome is that for a 7 year old!! Meanwhile she has been growing her hair and a few weeks after her birthday she got her hair cut and donating to an association that makes wigs for cancer paitients. This little girl has sucha huge heart and is a wonderful child. So as a token of my amazement I guess you could say, I made her this card as she loves horses and tucked some money inside...yep, you guessed it, she is saving it for one of her future donations!! Way to go Mogan, you're awesome!!

Mojo Madness- Mojo27

I made this card for Mojo 27-Mojo Madness! I love these sketch challenges. I'm a little happier with this photo than the last, it definitely helps taking them in the daylight versus in my scraproom at night, but it is definitely easier to take them after the kids are in bed! Thanks Mary for all the great photo tips, I'm workin' on it!!

Have a super day ~Kelly~

Card For Lexi

I made this card for a sweet little girl who turned 3 yesterday. I really need to work on my photography skills...one of these days I'll get it figured out. I love Little Missy from High Hopes. The sketch is a Mojo Monday sketch from Julee's Poetic Artistry blog...Mojo 11 to be exact.
Thanks for popping by!!
~Kelly~
The paper is all from TLC and the image is Little Missy from High Hopes. Colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol.

I'm Here!!

Yay, I'm now a blogger!! I am excited to be able to share some of my creations with anyone and everyone who happens to pop by to have a look. Not sure that anyone is going to read it of course...well, other than family members and friends that are "obligated" to browse, but we'll see how it goes!!
