The Town Scrapper Design Team Call

The Townscrapper Design Team Call!

We are a growing Canadian stamp company carrying many popular stamp lines, (including Magnolia, CC Designs, Magnolia, My Favorite Things, Motivet, Whiff of Joy, Wags 'n Whiskers, CC Designs, The Greeting Farm, Kraftin' Kimmie, Hanna, High Hopes, Scrapmagasinet) along with our very own line of rubber stamps, illustrated by Victoria Case, and a challenge blog !  We are looking for Senior Design Team members, who have a passion for paper crafts, and rubber stamps !  Your coloring of stamped images should be your strength - whether it's with Copics, or watercolor, or any other medium.  Previous Design Team experience is not necessary, but would be an asset.  We welcome international applicants.  You should have an active blog (post at least 3 times per week).
We will be taking submissions starting immediately, until all positions are filled (so, the sooner you apply, the better your chances!).  We are currently expanding our design team.  So, if you are ready to become a part of a growing stamping and paper crafts company, we want to hear from you!

As a senior member of our Design Team, you will be asked to:

Create 4 projects a month (using  stamps carried by The Townscrapper), by participating in weekly blog challenges, and provide high-quality digital images of these projects to our Blog Managers.  You may be asked to work with digital images.

  • Mail two of your cards/month to Phebe at the Townscrapper, in Petrolia, Ontario, Canada
  • contribute a minimum of one (papercraft) tutorial (with photos and detailed instructions) per 6 month term, and one "tip or trick" per month
  • Participate in Blog Hops, to promote release of new stamps, approximately every 2-3 months.
  • On a weekly basis, help promote/advertise The Townscrapper on your personal blog and to any message boards where appropriate.
  • Provide quality scans/photographs of all projects as well as posting any related tips/tricks
  • Have an active blog presence on your own personal blog (posts at least 3 times per week)
  • Commit to a 6-month term beginning immediately

To apply, please send the following information to Kim, Design Team Co-Ordinator at:

love_10s {at} hotmail {dot} com
  • Link to your online gallery and blog
  • Provide full contact information - name, phone number, email address, and location
  • Submit a short paragraph or two of why you want to be one of our designers
  • List your current DT/designer/site commitment(s)

As a Senior Design Team member for The Townscrapper, you will receive:

   25% discount off the regular price of anything purchased from The Townscrapper
  50% off one item per month
  One free rubber stamp
  The experience of working with one of the best stamp companies in the world!  ;)
We look forward to seeing your beautiful creations. Good luck!!

* The Townscrapper website is currently under construction.  Online shopping will be available soon!  In the interim, orders are welcome via email (info@thetownscrapper.com) or telephone (519-882-0623).

Prairie Fairy 2nd DT Call

Straight from Roberta's Blog...

"Yepper! You read right! We are launching our DT call! The call will be open until Midnight Friday April 16th. Winners will be announced on Sunday April 18th.
There are 10 spots up for grabs.

What is expected of a DT member you ask?

1. You will be required to produce one DT card per week using the Fairy Fun Friday sketches. I would love it however, if you would like to make more of course!

2. You must have the ability to produce high quality photos of your cards to post on your blog. I am not talking magazine photos here, just nice clear, well lit photos so don't be too worried about this.

3. You will be required to belong to at least one online papercraft group like splitcoaststampers or papercraft planet.

4. Lastly, you will be required to participate in any blog hops or special promotions that we are having during your term.

What do you get as a DT member?

1. Lots of exposure on your blog, as your Prairie Fairy cards will be posted on the challenge blog weekly with a link back to your blog.

2. Plenty of Prairie Fairy images to play with. The more you create with them and post to your blog, group galleries (PCP, splitcoast) and challenges you enter the more images you will get.

3. At the successful completion of your term you will receive a yummy candy bag full of crafting goodies from me. If you really impress me there just may be something else in there too! P.S. If you are good to the fairy, she is good to you.

DT term is for a four month period, starting May 1st and completes Aug 31.

A few things to keep in mind.
I take many things into consideration. The reality is that you have designers so that they can show off your stuff for ya. On that note, it is important to keep in mind that it will help a lot if you are very active on your blog.
Don't get discouraged if you feel like your cards are not perfect masterpieces, that is not all that I look at. The reality is that we do this because we love it and most of us aren't Picasso's! Of course it is nice to have beautiful cards but it is just as important to have lots of friends visiting your blog.

To enter:

To enter I have posted a freebie here that I would like you to create a card with. You can then post that card on your blog and enter the direct link to that card here so that I can go check ya out! Don't feel too pressured, I will be checking out your other work too so my decision won't be based solely on this card.
Also, I would like you to add the DT call button to your sidebar with a link back here to the DT call post."

So there you have it folks, go ahead and get your entries in for your chance to work with a fabulous illustrator, a great DT and wonderful images!

Hugs,
