The Town Scrapper-Summer Hiatus

Ok, so our challenge this week was anything but a square or rectangle card, but then we changed things up a bit as this is our last post until September 10th.  We are taking a summer hiatus, so we thought we'd open it wide up and show you what we have!

I made this card using a bunch of digi stamps actually....

July14_2010_MakeItCrafty_TTS

First off, Cherry Emma from the Sugarplums collection at All That Scraps is sitting atop the fabulous Whimsical Mushroom from my buddy Zoe's fabulous store Make It Crafty, then I added some clouds and birds from Rainbow Land which is from Make It Crafty as well.  All paper is CTMH.

Today is the last day of swimming for my kiddos.  Summer camp was over yesterday, so we are almost free of driving to town every day!  I have 2 whole weeks to hang out...ya right, I need to get the 5th wheel packed for Sandpoint!!  I am just going to relax tomorrow though....hope my kids sleep in for once!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Monochromatic with The Town Scrapper

Now monochromatic is definitely a challenge for me, something I have a hard time with...but The Town Scrapper DT has come up with some fabulous cards for inspiration!

Here's mine:

July7_2010_TSMonochromatic

I have used the adorable Victoria Case image for The Town Scrapper called Made With Love and went with pinks as my color scheme.  All paper is CTMH and the heart stickers are as well.  The sketch is a great one, but I totally forget where it's from, so if it resembles one of yours, just let me know so I can give you the proper credit!

So there we have it. Monochromatic is the challenge this week and I hope you play along for your chance to win a super cute stamp!!

Today is the last day of swimming for my kids ...this week...we go all week again next week, so it'll be busy, busy again, but I am looking forward to the week after as it should be relatively quiet!
Thanks for stopping by and sorry for the lull in my blog hopping...summer's here and it doesn't stick around for too long, so I'm enjoying it while I can!

Town Scrapper-Tent Card

I loved this challenge!  I must admit, at first I was a bit confused as to what a tent card was, but Maria has a fabulous tutorial up on the Town Scrapper blog and it made it a cinch!

I have used the adorable Beary Sweet Sophie image by Victoria Case exclusively for The Town Scrapper and some fun MME glitter papers and of course the oh so pretty Prima flowers.  Like I said this was a super fun and really easy challenge too and a great change from just a square or rectangle card, I hope you can join us this week!  Be sure to check our the Town Scrapper blog for some fabulous inspiration from our wonderful DT!!

June12_2010_TSShowcase_SSS73

Be sure to hop on over and check out the other fabulous showcase cards and while you're there, why not play along in our challenge this week!

I have paired this sweet girl with some paper I bought from a Taylored Expressions grab bag, so I am not sure who it's by but I really do like it.  I used one of my new 5x7 CB folders on the Holllyhock cs and added some bling just for fun!  I have used Karen's fabulous Sweet Sunday Sketch for my layout!

Happy Monday to you!!

Father's Day with the Town Scrapper

Yay, time again for another great challenge provided for you from The Town Scrapper.  This week we are asking you to focus on Father's Day or a masculine card.  I have a hard time with guy cards as I'm sure most of you do , but this is great timing to make a card for Dad, hubby, whoever!

June9_2010_TownScrapper_JCS

This is Big Shoes To Fill Evan (or Evan in Dad's Clothes as he's referred to on the TS blog) and as always, these fabulous Victoria Case images exclusively for The Town Scrapper can be ordered by calling or emailing Phebe at info@townscrapper.com or call 519-882-0623.

Be sure to stop by the challenge blog for some fabulous inspiration from our awesome DT!

All papers are from CTMH-Zippidee and the layout is from one of Jeanette's sketches.  Now I don't know if it was for an actual challenge or not, when I printed it off I didn't have any name on it, so I'm not sure, but it is sketch # 12 from Jeanette!!

We are branding our calves this weekend..as long as the weather holds out...some calves are pretty big already, it just might be a rodeo!!  Speaking of rodeo, we are going to local rodeo Saturday afternoon with the kiddos!  See you Monday!

We have a long weekend here and are off to look at vehicles tomorrow.  We are going to Medicine Hat and will stay the night as we have land by Seven Persons and this way Lance can go and check fences and such!  The hotel has a pool, hot tub, kiddies pool and 2 waterslides, so the kids are excited!

I hope you have a great weekend as well, thanks for stopping by and I hope you will join in the fun with our challenge this week!

That's right, Town Scrapper Challenge time is here. This week we are asking you to use Pink & Purple on your creations. I wasn't sure at first when I first read this challenge, but as I got going, I ended up really liking it. Totally love these CTMH papers and this image is so cute, so it worked!!

This fun challenge is up and running now for a week, so I hope you can join us!

I am off to a Mother's Day tea this afternoon at the school.  The grades 1-3 are having a celebration for their Mom's.  I think it's going to be great!  The I am going out for a ladies night dinner and then Lance, the kids and I are going to see Stars On Ice in Calgary on Sunday for Mother's Day...should be a good weekend!

We are off to visit my parents on Sunday and to celebrate my Dad's birthday.  Lance is roping that day so the kiddos and I will go and have a great afternoon.  We are also going to celebrate Mother's Day early as Lance, the kids and I are going to Stars On Ice on Mother's Day and won't see my Mom that day so we thought we might as well have a joint celebration!

Puzzle Challenge for Autism-Scrapettes

It's time for a challenge with The Town Scrapper and to celebrate Autism Awareness Month we have a puzzle themed challenge for you.   Feel free to interpret that how you like, but anything with a puzzle theme will do.

April6_2010_Scrapettes_CR Sketch

I have used Autism Evan for my card today and lucky for me, part of the image is the puzzle! All paper is from CTMH-You Rock, fibers from Bunny Zoe's Crafts.

but wait, that's not all....

In addition to the challenge, Leah is going to donate $1 for every project submitted (including those from the Scrapettes), to the Kennedy Krieger Institute. Please help spread the word, so that we can make this a BIG donation!

And to make things even better, Scrapettes Katie, Zoe, Ann and Maria have generously offered to MATCH each dollar Leah donates! Your card equals FIVE DOLLARS!

So let's see just how big that donation will be!!

The Town Scrapper

Over on The Town Scrapper challenge blog we are asking you to use charms on your card. You can make one or use one from your stash like I have, lots of possibility's out there, so I hope you'll play along with us.

March29_2010_TSC_FS95

I have used this sweet Victoria Case image exclusively for The Town Scrapper called Birthday Sophie.  She's adorable and you can get your hands on her and all of the Victoria Case images that are available exclusively at The Town Scrapper by getting in touch with Phebe at The Town Scrapper.

My paper is from CTMH and the sketch is actually last Friday's- Friday Sketchers sketch.   Charms are from Bunny Zoe's and Stamp and Create and are from my stash and flowers are Primas.  I added some glitter and liquid glass to the balloons and presents.

Ribbons & Rubons-TS

Well after I thought I was totally on a roll and had my Town Scrapper card all done on Monday for our challenge today...I looked at my book to cross it off my to-do list and realized I didn't even follow the challenge!  HA!! So off to work I went again.

This time I did follow the challenge and here is my card:

March15_2010_TS_CP55

The chalelnge over at The Town Scrapper is Ribbons and Rubons.  I actually have a few rub ons on this one...the whole flower cluster consists of 4 different flowers.  I added the CTMH ribbon in Blush to match the CTMH Topstitch paper and of course the adorable Victoria Case image for The Town Scrapper.

If there is anything you are in need of, hop on over and visit Phebe, she'd be happy to help you out.

I used the sketch from Card Patterns #55 for my layout, all CTMH papers and some rhinestones.

We will be at the arena decorating otnight and then gone all day tomorrow for the carnival, so I won't be back on the ol' blog-o until Monday when I will have my Karen's Doodle's card for you!

Have a fabulous weekend!

You are So Birdiful!

I know I said that my first official challenge for my new DT position with The Town Scrapper wasn't until next Friday, but I managed to get a card done for this week's challenge.

March10_2010_TS_CP54

This week's challenge is to use 3 buttons and one of the Victoria case images made just for us!  So I did just that with some fun MME Penny Lane papers and the sketch from this week's Card Patterns.  The ribbon and flowers were from a Taylored Expressions' kit that included this paper.

So I really hope you can join us this week over at The Town Scrapper.  Phebe has a fabulous selection of all the latest products, so drop her a line if there's anything you have your mind on!

Happy weekend!!
