Sweetness-SS#82-MCKC-Dec

How cute is this sweet girl?

Dec21-@009_SS#82_MCKC

I used Sketch Saturday's sketch from this past Saturday for my layout. I did leave off the sentiment as I'm not exactly sure who will be receiving this or what the occasion may be, so I can add that later.

The fabulous papers, image and embellies are all from the December Monthly Card Kit Club.  This is the last month, so take advantage fo this great kit while Karin still has it available.

All (well mostly) of the presents are wrapped.  We were going to make gingerbread cookies today, but I was short a couple of spices, so we'll have to do that later thsi week...probably the 24th, but that'ok.  We have some fun recipes we are going to make tomorrow and the kids are excited!  Are you ready for Christmas?

Thanks you for taking the time to visit! In case I don't get back before Christmas Day, I would like to take a moment to wish you and your families a very Happy Holiday season and all the best to you for a fabulous 2010!!  Thank you for making 2009 a fab blogging year for me!

Love Bugs-ASFOS#82_Quixotic#7_MCKC

Yes I know I am a terrible blogger...I really have no excuse other than life gets busy sometime.

I am back now though with a fun card that fits a couple of challenges and it uses products in the December Monthly Card Kit Club.  These papers are fabulous, doubelsided to boot and the embellies Karin has chosen are wonderful!  The image is from mt DT kit as well and I'm not sure who it's by, but they are adorable!

December16_2009_ASFOS_Quixotic

I used this week's sketch from A Spoon Full of Sugar (I rotated it) and combined that with the challenge from Quixotic this week, which is to use lace.  Some of this delightful chocolate brown lace was included in my DT kit from MCKC and thought it worked well.

I was lucky enough to win Tammi's blog candy a bit ago and it was a surprise...love it!  Yummy treats, gorgeous papers and ribbons and delightful images!  Thanks Tammi!!  Also I was lucky enough to win Jacque's Sweet Treat blog candy and I can't wait to receive it.  So on the blog candy note, I have decided t wait until the new year for mine....I wanted to keep it open for a bit and just thought with Christmas so close it's so busy right now and it wouldn't arrive before Christmas anyway, so Iw ill wait until the busy season is over....don't be sad though, I ahve some fun things int here for one lucky winner...maybe even 2!

Thanks for visiting today and for sticking with me although my posts can sometime be inconsistent!

Just Chillin'~MCKC-Nov~Papertake Weekly# 29-KK#8

I have really enjoyed using this great kit from the Monthly Card Kit Club! In my DT kit there was a fun chipboard star, so I used that for my project today. Although I have not made a card, I did incorporate this week's sketch from Papertake Weekly. The sponsor over there this week is Kraftin' Kimmie and I used one of her images!

Dec2_2009_PTW#30

This lil' guy will also work for Kraftin Kimmie's challenge #8 which is Touchy Feely.  I have used a CB piece (blue one), stickles ahs been added to the hat, stars, snowflakes and on the embossed parts on the flower!

So with the exception of the stickles and the image & sentiment, everything was part of the Nov MCKC, even the silver star ribbon that I will hang it with!

We are off to Great Falls, Montana tomorrow for a long weekend of shopping and a bit of relaxation...I hope, but with 2 kids, I'm not sure that will happen.  Anyway the hotel does have a great big pool and a hot tub, so it should be great!

Thank you so very much for your visit today and stay tuned..I'll have some blog candy when I get back!

~Sharing Love & Happiness~SSSC#45

I have another card for you using this month's Monthly Card Kit Club. I have used a fun stamp set by Renee Mullins at Plum Purdy and it's called Sharing the Holidays.

November23_2009_MCKC_1

Everything on the card with the exception of the image and sentiment, Stickles and Scribblez (don't pay attention to the ink smear either please...it happened just after I put the Stickles and Scribblez on..but after all of that work, I wasn't about to start over, is from the November Kit called Oh La La.  You can get all the details on these wonderful kits right here.

I have used Karen's great sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. It's sketch # 45 from yesterday!

Landon and I are off to the optometrist in the a.m., then we both get our hair done...kinda sounds funny to say a 4 year old boy is getting his hair done, but, he's getting his cut (for the first time at the hair dresser I might add...usually I cut it with the razor but he wanted a "real hair cut" this time and me -a color and cut!  Then home in time to pick Kirsten up from the bus.

Thank you for visiting and hope you come back again soon!

Distress Ink Snow Family-FS#78, Nov MCKC

I know you have heard this before but, my gosh do I love this paper! I have for you another card made for the Monthly Card Kit Club and here it is.

November17_2009_FS#78_MCKC

Now, please be kind...this is my first attempt at coloring with Distress Inks...I am happy with the way it turned out but definitely need practice.  All of the fun, fun papers and cs, flowers and brads are from the November Kit and the image is High Hopes.   I added stickles around the cute little snow family and then around the nestie border too!

I used this week's sketch from over at Friday Sketchers for my layout, oh how I would love the Special Edition Ornament stamps from Elizabeth Bell!!

Landon and I are off to town for groceries and such today, so I better get a move on it!  Thanks for stopping by!

Skating Tilda & Edwin-Wintery Wishes-Nov MCKC-CP#40

I absolutely love these papers, and fun colors!

November9_2009_MCKC#2_CP#40

I made this card using this weeks Card Pattern #40.  I used one of my very favorite images as well, skating Tilda & Edwin.  I actually need this card for some lovely people who donated money to our skating club and thought this would be a perfect fit.  Other than the image, the rhinestones on the snowflakes and the liquid glass (CTMH) I used for my ice patch, everything is from the November Monthly Card Kit

Our kids have today, tomorrow and Rememberance Day off school, so we are headed over to my parents for a visit today and then eye doctor, dentist appointemnts and the kids both get hair cuts tomorrow as well.  It'll be busy but good to get it all done.

Thanks you for comin' on over and having a bit of a visit!

Bright Winter Wishes

I received my November kit from the Monthly Card Kit Club on Friday and love it! Fun papers, great images and embellies, it's a super fun kit. Here's my first card I made last night using supplies from the kit. Almost everything was included, just Copics that I colored with and the MS snowflake punch, leaf punch were and stickles were not.

Nov2_2009_MCKC#1_TESC89

The pretty blue glitter came with the kit and I covered the snowflake with that for some sparkle, added the star garland to the bottom and stickles to the wheels on the cart and the bow on the top present.  Even the CB piece came with the kit!

For my layout, I have used TESC # 89. Head on over to the MCKC blog and see how you can get this very kit!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today is my sweet boy's 4th birthday!  It just amazes me how fast they grow, I wish you could just bottle them up and keep them little forever!  He is so excited it's his birthday and whenever anyone phones to wish him a Happy Birthday he says it right back, too cute!  Anyway here we are (yes I know I look fantastic;-) just minutes after he was born Nov 3, 2005!

And with his big sister...she looks so young, well I guess it was 4 years ago!!

Happy Birthday my little cowboy!!

Sunny Flowers

Well here I am with another creation using this month's kit from Monthly Card Kit Club. Now these aren't my usual colors and while they did throw me for a bit of a loop, I am happy with the result and know that my Grandma will love it! I have some picts from my sisters wedding that I have been meaning to send here and I think I'll do just that.

October26_2009_MCKC#3

The pattern paper, flower center and the pin are all from the October Kit. The flower top and leaves are from Delightful Things and the stem is from Treasures, both CTMH sets. I added sunflower Shimmerz to the entire flower for some shimmer and it's really pretty IRL but s hard to capture in a photo!

I am off to Rascal Flatts Tuesday night and am pretty excited to see them and Darius Rucker as well. It'll be a great night I'm sure, late though and I'm parent helper for Landon's Halloween party on Wed!! Oh well, it'll be just fine!

Thanks for being here!

Made With Love Tilda-MCKC#2

Wow a week sure flies by rather quickly! I honestly thought that after the first month and a half of school I would be into a bit of a routine and not feel so rushed all the time. Anyway, today is weaning day today here so Lance and his Dad finished sorting the cows and calves and took them to the auction mart. Well we had a straight liner here to take the majority of them, but they all didn't fit so Lance took a load in our stock trailer. Landon went along and was in his glory!

Anyway, onto my card for today.

MCKC#2_October20,2009

This is my second creation with the beautiful Cherry Hill kit from the Monthly Card Kit Club. Although I didn't use the cherry paper that comes in the kit, I went with the apples instead as there was a cute little apple button in my DT package. The fabulous apple paper, the apple button, the red ribbon and the white and red die cuts are all from the kit. My sweet little baking Tilda, apple and the sentiment are all from Magnolia.

Here is sort of a side view shot to show the dimension. I popped up Tilda and the apples and added stickles to the red ribbon around the wooden spoon as well as the middle apple.

MCKC#2_October20,2009_side

These kits are really great for card making, lots of fun embellishments and gorgeous papers. So head on over to learn more.

I am off to a skating meeting tonight...man does life ever slow down....so I should run and get some things done around here!

Thank you for stopping by!

**For You~Friday Sketchers # 73~Monthly Card Kit Club-October**

So far our holiday weekend here in Canada has been wonderful...cold but good! Today my FIL will come on down (he only loves about 3 miles away) for dinner with us tonight and then back to school for Kirsten anyway tomorrow.

Here is my very first creation using the wonderful Monthly Card Kit Club for October called Cherry Hill. Please click here to see the kit in it's entirety and click here for subscription info.

This kit is so very pretty, gorgeous papers and flowers, ribbon and spacers too, really everything to make beautiful cards.  This image is too cute as well, although I don't know the name of it or who makes it, it was part of my DT kit, but it's super sweet!  Almost everything is from the kit (flowers, flower center, ribbons and pp), but I did add some rhinestone gems from CTMH and the cs is from my stash. I also used some Spica glitter pens on the flowers, vines and bird for some shimmer.

I used this weeks sketch from Friday Sketchers for my layout and although I had some trouble with it, I am happy with the outcome.

Off I scoot to get the house tidy and such.  Wishing you and your families a very Happy Thanksgiving!
