I have a card to share with you today that fits a couple of challenge. now would you believe that this if the very first time I have participated in a SCS color challenge??  Yes, it's true...color challenges scare me for some reason, but I gave it a go here.

The sketch is from Papertake Weekly and like I said the colors are from the CC342 challenge.  I have used Mellow Out (it's actually a pre-colored image from the set, not my coloring skills:-)from Studio 313 at McMahon Five Design.  

I also have some blog candy to share with you!  Now, there are no funky rules or anything BUT if you are a follower (please don't become one just to get an extra entry) please enter your name twice!  One in the linky tool list and once via comment please as the linky tool will only allow one entry per blod address.

I have some fun news to share with you today.  Since the Hot Spot Challenge will close at the end of this month, I have joined the fabulous gals over at McMahon Five Designs as part of their challenge DT. Be on the look out for some fun M5D creations that I will share with you here as well as on SCS in my gallery!

I'm excited to share a new release with you this week From Studio 313.  It's a fun little set called Funny Little Things.  It has some cute images and great sentiments too, so a really versatile set!

Now I did get the sketch from somewhere and for the life of me I can't remember where...so if I locate the site, I will update the link!!

Hotspot Finale & Dutch Dare

 Thursday is here already!!  Wow, this week has flew by!  I think i say that every week at about this same time!  I have a mid month reminder card to share with you today that is for the final Studio 313  Hotspot Challenge.  Our challenge for you is white on white with one color.  Here's my card:

Hotspot Challenge Time HSC6

It's challenge time again over at The Hotspot Challenge.  This month we are talking about the Top 3 vacation spots in the USA, California, Las Vegas and Florida and here is a pict for you to use as inspiration.

Here is my card using Clowning Around Molly from Studio 313 available at McMahon Five Design.  I used the colored version of this fun digi image!  I just really like the wild and crazy nature of this fun girl, paired with the glitter of the paper and added bling...so yes, I chose Las Vegas as my inspiration.  Lance and I are fortunate enough to go to the National Finals Rodeo every year in Las Vegas and I love it!

I used the sketch from Card Patterns for my layout..although I added a couple things, the layout is from the sketch.

TheHot Spot Challenge #5-Laser Cut

The beginning of June already, my how time flies!!  Here we are ready for another fabulous Hot Spot Challenge from Studio 313.  This month;s challenge is Laser Cut Deatils, so dust off your dies and fancy punches!

Hotspot Challenge-Case A Cake-HSC4

This is one super fun chalelnge you will most definitely want to check out.  First go here and see the original post with all the gorgeous cakes, then choose one or two, or three like I did and case them in some way and shwo us your stuff!!

I took the wee flowers from cake #3 in the Brown and...series and paired that with the funky style from pict # 4 in that same series and used colors from cake #3 and #4.

 

I have used the Designer Cakes set from Studio 313 which is available right here at McMahon Five Design.

I used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch for my layout! I haven't played along with Mojo Mondays in a long time, so it was great to use the sketch from this week!!

Studio 313 Hotspot Challenge is back! SHC6-Natural Elements

February 1st already!! My goodness, time flies! Well, since it's the beginning of another fabulous month, it's time for the Studio 313 Hotspot challenge.  Our challenge this month is Natural Elements and here is what I came up with...

I have used some raffia, hemp twine on my buttons and the natural canvas button (brand new and available today from CTMH) that I stamped a heart on.  The image and sentiment are from the Mellow Out digi set from Studio 313 that is available exclusively at McMahon  Five Design.  You also get a bunch of other fun stuff in this set too!  Oh and I guess I should mention that this is the pre-colored version....yes I took a  short cut!! Ha, ha!

I have used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch  #102 for my layout..it's there, I just added the sentiment and the buttons:-)

Help For Katie-Fundraiser

I am on the Studio 313 DT so when Shawne asked if we could make cards using the set she was donating to this great cause, my response, absolutely!!  Not only did Shawne donate a fabulous set, so many other fabulous artists and stamp companies did as well.  

Katie was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 stomach cancer and is currently undergoing her only treatment option which is chemotherapy.  Katie is a wife and mother to three, beautiful young boys and a fellow papercrafter.  Please visit Katie's blog to read more about her personal journey.  You can head over to the fabulous Jak's blog to read more about the fundraiser, the companies and artists involved, what you can do to help this family out and what you will receive for your donation.

Studio 313 Hotspot Challenge #5- Charming

It's the first of the month again and the first of a new year too!!  Wishing you all a wonderful 2011!!  So being that it's the first of the month, that means its time for another fun challenge from the Hotspot over at Studio 313.

The theme for this month is Charming, so show us your charms!  I added a purse and a show to my card and used Clowning Around Molly for my image.  The pp is Echo Park and the sentiment is from Studio 313 as well.  You can win free digi images just for playing along, hop on over and check out the details!

The Sweet Stop with a Spin #87

Yes, my favorite day of the week is back!  The Sweet Stop is back with a fab new sketch....and it's a spin week.  The spin added to this sketch is faux or real stitching. I went with the real version and would you believe that this is my very first attempt at stitching on a card....hence the not very straight lines and the fact only one layer is done!!

I have a little Provo Craft sewing machine thingie and it actually worked quite well!  The image-Molly Snowday is from Studio 313 and is pre-colored, the sentiment from Studio 313 as well.  I had to rearrange some of the elements on my card, so I took a few liberties with the sketch, but it is there!!

The Sweet Stop #86

Sweet Stop sketch time is here!  This week's sketch is fabulous...not sure if you've noticed or not, but I used it on my last couple of posts...one accidentally, I was working ahead and forgot I had used it already and the other one, it just worked well with what was in my head!  Anyway, here is the official version for The Sweet Stop!

I actually kind of flipped it, to add some variation!  I used a pre-colored (sorry for the lines, I see my printer needs a tune up!) Studio 313 image from McMahon Five Design called Penguin.  It is actually the cutest little set, this guy and 2 sentiments for only $2.99!

Studio 313 Hotspot Challenge Time~ Sparkle & Bling-HSC4

I'm so happy to let you know that Shawne is back with the Studio313 challenge!  We will be having a monthly challenge, so there will be lots of time to play along.   This month, our theme is Sparkle and Bling, so get out your glitter, rhinestones, tinsel, jewels, whatever your choice may be, as long as it glitters, it works for us!

Studio 313 Hotspot Challenge Time~Top 10 Albums, SSS57

Oh my is this a good one.  Challenge time over on the Studio 313 blog and the challenge is to incorporate the Top 10 Best Selling Albums of all time into your creation.

I went with The Wall-Pink Floyd as my card is mostly pink!  I have used Hey Sweet Thang and coordinating digi papers.  Here is the list of the 10 best selling albums that you can choose from.  It can be a song title, band or artist title, album title, anything that you can use to interpret into your card.  

I hope you can play along with us this week for your chance to win some Studio 313 goodies.  Shawne has some cute stuff on the way!!

Studio 313 Hotspot Challenge Time~Come Play With Us!! SHC2, PS17

Oh my 2 weeks has flown by so quickly! Time for a super fun challenge over on the Studio 313 Hotspot Challenge blog. This week we have a picture for you as inspiration of some fun bold, psychedelic prints, etc, so basically bold, be very BOLD!

Here's my take on that:

My image is from the new Molly Clowning Around Set and it's just so fun. I paired it with some funky papers from DCWV complete with glitter of course!  I added some Smooch to her hat and the polka dots on her top and the stars, kinds hard to see in the pict, but it's there!

Now, since our challenge blog is so new...Shawne has $25 in Studio 313 product up for grabs.  You can use it now or save it for later, but trust me, you'll want to play along this week (challenge open for 2 weeks to give you lots of time to play) and have your chance at such a fabulous prize!  Come on over and join in the fun at Studio 313.

The sketch is from this weeks Paper Sundaes challenge, love their challenges too!  I added the flowers and the ribbon in the middle as my paper wasn't long enough..shhh, don't tell ;-) 

I'm so excited it's Friday today!!  We have had a super busy week and I am just looking forward to hanging out at home!  Hopefully I'll get out in my flower beds and get them ready, my veggie bed too!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Studio 313 Challenge Time-SHC1

Here we have a fabulous challenge for you at Studio 313.  Shawne is asking us to use Clear Elements on our creations, how fun!!

I have used a super sweet set today called Flower Fairy Vertie. The dp are co ordinating digi papers as well called Harlequin and The Wishing Flower, both in Blue Satin.

Wanna know a little secret??  I didn't color a thing...Vertie is digitally colored, so I just printed her off, found a nestie I liked and away I went...super fun.  As you can see my clear elements are all clear dew drops, but you really could use almost anything, acetate, clear buttons, clear card fronts, etc. 

The sketch is great one from Tina at Stamp with Fun this week, so I will enter it over there!

Studio 313 -Designer B-Day Cake

I am a bit behind on this one, but better late than never right! Over at the Studio 313 Challenge blog we have a fun grand opening challenge going on. The challenges will run bi-weekly, so you will have lots of time to play along.  Our first challenge is to take a page from Shawne's new store and CASE it, so maybe you like the color combo and interpret a sketch from one of the store pages, have fun with it!

I chose to do a sketch from the Fairytale page.  I loosely based my sketch on that page (rotated it and added the sentiment) as you could of easily added a few more elements if you chose, but I'm rather pleased with the outcome of my card...and would you believe...no coloring either!!  Nope, not at all, I chose the Designer Birthday Cake collection and this very image is in there already colored.  The dp is from the same collection too!  All other cs and the glittery brad is from CTMH,  the flowers are Prima.
