Welcome to our From the Heart Stamps blog hop. We have a Meet the
Design Team theme this month. Our designers are showcasing lots of
gorgeous projects and telling us a bit about themselves, too.
If you have arrived from Kathy Stacy's blog, you are in
the right place, if not why don’t you start on the From the Heart Stamps blog, so you don’t miss anything. All of our new designers are joining us for their very first hop, so it's sure to be a fun one and you don't want to miss one single stop!
Here is my project, using Bouquet Chick. It is one of my favorite FTHS images.
My card features supplies from: CTMH- CS- Blush, My Mind's Eye- Lime Twist PP, CTMH- Hollyhock Ink, CTMH- My Fave Stamp Set, CTMH- mini rhinestones, Spellbinders-Nestabilities. The sketch is from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2
.
Part of this hop is a chance to Meet The Team. Our challenge was to use one of our favorite images and our favorite technique. Bouquet Chick is one of my favorite FTHS images and although I don't have a special or favorite technique that I have used for this card, my favorite challenge is sketches so I have used the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2 for my card.
We were also given some questions to answer so that you all can get to know us a bit and here are my answers:
What is your favorite coloring technique? I would say Copic Markers. I do have Prismacolor pencils too but they kind of scare me!
What is your favorite category of images in the FTHS store? Without a doubt it is the Birdbrains but Faithful Friends are a very close 2nd.
What emoji do you use most often? The winky one
Describe your crafting space. I am very lucky to
have an entire room dedicated to my paper crafting hobby. It is in our
basement and it was built just for me. I have a wonderful L shaped
counter that has waaaaay too much stuff on it and all of my supplies in
various storage units, Ikea Expedit shelving, etc, Cricut,
computer,-everything I need to create is in my room.
Why do you like to make handmade cards? I love the personal touch and the fact that no one will have that same card…ever!
How long have you been on the From the Heart Stamps design team? I began as a guest In October 2013 and joined the team shortly thereafter…time flies when you’re having fun!
What is your best tip for taking good photos of your cards?
Well, I am still working on this but I find a nice white background and
great lighting. I prefer outside natural daylight but that’s not always
possible, so an Ott light is the next best thing for me.
Now, please head over to Lyn's blog and see what she has created and learn a little bit more about her as well...this has been a fun hop!!
As you hop along, please leave a comment on each blog. One random
commenter will be selected on each blog to win an image of choice from
the FTHS store. And additionally, we will have a game with some prizes
on the FTHS blog!
Thanks for hopping with us today. The hop will end on Monday October
5th at 6 am EST. Winners will be posted on the From the Heart Stamps Blog on Wednesday October 7th.
Hugs,
